Well, I have been trying really hard to save money for our August trip, and I was doing a good job, til today when I went into our bathroom and it was soaking wet, then I glanced at the bath tub and it was 1/2 filled with black, yucky water.....our huge trees have huge roots and caused things to back up....its sunday and I had to call a plumber....last year we had our drain rodded out and it only cost me 130.00, that wasn't on a sunday....today it was 240.00....out of the savings it comes.....I had no choice because we need our toilet today and when we flushed it it overflowed and flooded the bathroom, tomorrow probably would've saved me $$$$....oh well, back to saving change.

Oh boy hulabird do I know where you're coming from! LOL:rolleyes:

It always seems that you get 1 step ahead and then get tossed 2 steps back!;)

Hang in there .....if you want something bad enough it will eventually come to you! Good luck and keep filling that change jar!;) :sunny:

I can certainly relate. I had to have my gallbadder removed in April. While I do have good insurance that pays 80%, 20% of a fortune is still a fortune! I'm just going to $20 dollar them until after the trip and Christmas when I can pay them off.

My DD(28) is a single parent and has just been approved for her first home lone. While this is a good thing for sure, it's costing me because being the generous mother that I am:rolleyes: I want (and have been) helping. So far it's been $200 here, $75 there. Oh and I'm a single mother too. (Our family is unlucky in love...every one of us.)

I was fortunate enough that I already had our flights & passes paid for, $600 on resort paid and $600 in Disney Dollars saved prior to all this happening because I haven't been able to save as much. We had a big yardsale and got enough for Discovery Cove, so that's all paid for. I had to switch from AKL savanna view to CBR, while hoping for codes to maybe get AKL standard view. But, still might have to switch to one of the All Stars if things keep up....I won't mind though, stayed at ASMu last yer and had a ball. I've also cut out some of our expensive meals and extras like Illuminations cruise from our plans.

Anyway, sorry to ramble, I just wanted you to know you're not alone......I'll make it, so will you! Hang in there!
