Everything you need to know about WDW Christmas- Tips & Secrets

I just read about the two hour dinner at the terrace noodle station for $140. Am I not getting something but isn't that really expensive for dinner? I could not get any more information from WDWINFO about what else you get for the money. You don't get access to MK also do you? I doubt that. But has anyone experienced this event and tell us what this event is all about?
Thanks

I will never get my kid in bed. :lmao: I have to get her up at 2:30 a.m. Florida time on the 12th to make it to the airport. We'll go from the airport and try to check in and then straight to MK. The plan was to leave MK right after the 8:00 Wishes. Even then, I figured we'd be exhausted by the time we made it back to the hotel. Now I have to add 2 hours on to that. By the time it's all said and done, she'll have been up almost 24 hours. ACK! :scared1:

I can only hope and wish they would bring back the Christmas Country Bears, we LOVED this show. They stopped it a couple of years ago. PLEASE Disney, bring back the bears!!!

Considering they cut the LoW at Epcot this year.Country Bears aren't coming back this year.If they were they would have already been down to change over to the Xmas show

Thanks! For various reasons, we can't do the dining package (other people involved) and I really want to see this! I've been getting worried reading about how popular Steven Curtis Chapman is (although I've never heard of him) and was worried this might be a really crowded evening. I have no problem waiting in line for an hour - we did that for Fantasmic! this past summer and it was SOOO worth it.

Steven Curtis Chapman is very very popular here in the South. He is a contemporary Christian singer. I would LOVE to be there during his show! Too bad he isn't singing, he has a beautiful voice. Click here if you are interested in seeing more about him: www.stevencurtischapman.com . I think it would be a very moving service with him this year. He is a strong advocate for international adoption, and one of his adopted daughters was tragically killed this year, she was 3 years old. He has written a whole album dedicated to her. :)

Okay, still trying to figure out the MVMCP thing. Does anyone know the actual number of people that would constitute a sell-out? I saw somewhere that it was 20,000, but not sure if that's accurate. I'm wondering how that compares to an average day in MK - does DW ever post how many people visit their parks on a given day?

The only day we can go is Friday, 12/4, and it sounds like that could definitely be a sell out day. If it's comparable to April/August crowds, I'm fine with that. But, if it's wall to wall people, similar to Christmas week crowds, then it's not worth the $$ to me. Any opinions??

I was wondering the same thing. We have tickets to go on 12/6. I'm hopeful that it is not wall to wall people so we can actually enjoy it. Judging by the fact that you can't get a ADR at any Magic Kingdom TS restaurant for the whole day it may be a little crowded. Of course that could just be the free dining.

I hope it's just free dining. I thought it was weird that I couldn't get into Tony's but I could get Crystal Palace on 12/6. Of course, we are a group of 12, so that might have something to do with that. We will be at the party on 12/6. I figure that it is a weekend and it might just be busy for that reason. Even a lot of local people will be there because of that.

Yes. There was a post about it the other day, and another dis'er got an email response from Disney about it

I had to google what LoW was. I am very disappointed. This is our first Christmas experience at Disney and they have cut Twas the Night and now the LoW. I was looking forward to that. So what kind of decorations are there going to be at Epcot? I can't imagine anything as spectacular as that. :(

They still have the Christmas tree. the holiday storytellers around the World, and the Candlelight Processional. But it is a major bummer about the LoW.My Dh had never seen them and was looking forward to it

My DH too! The kids were telling him all about the "musical lights" and I had to let them know that they are no longer around. We are all so bummed. :sad2: Last year, the kids and I sat and watched for quite a while. They were amazed and couldn't wait to show Daddy this year. :sad2:

This is our first trip to Disney World for Christmas and I have to say I was a little disappointed to see that LOW is gone. We were really looking forward to seeing that. What's this about Twis the Night???

We have an ADR for Tony's at 5:55 p.m. I've been trying to get an earlier time with no luck at all. We don't want to miss the castle lighting or any of the party and 5:55 is just cutting it too close. I highly doubt they will get us in right at 5:55. Anyway I can't find anything at all on 12/6 for the MK. I think we will end up canceling it and just using QS that night. It's really a bummer because my wife loves Tony's and has fond memories of when we were there last year.

So does anyone know how many tickets they sell for each MVMCP event?
