Everything Virtual Queue - Please Read Post 1

Got a virtual queue for Tron today after 3 pm. Not sure how. I was on the app looking at the tip board (at my resort) and for some reason it was available. I got group 176. I think it was called at 9:58. I had to check in by 10:58 (park open until 11 tonight). My daughter and I got on the ride about 5 until 11. We were last ones on the ride! We enjoyed our first ride on Tron! Last ride of the night and last ride of our vacation! Checking out in the morning!

I have a conference ticket with park hopping capabilities. Thus, I must make park reservations for each day. In order to attempt to snag a VQ in a particular park, I must have a park reservation for that park. My question is, if I'm fortunate enough to snag a VQ, can I then switch my park reservation to a different park and rope drop that park, without losing the VQ?

I want to snag a VQ for GotG, but rope drop AK or HS as my first park. Then park hop to Epcot and ride GotG later that day. Is this feasible?

Yes, you may change your park reservation after securing a VQ without affecting your VQ.

Will I be able to ride Tiana Bayou on the 28th if I don't get a VQ? Im testing out the App and was able to get a VQ for Gotg at 7:00am for 12pm reservation for Epcot. I currently have a reservation for MGK for TB. I was thinking of getting the reservation for Gotg and rope dropping MGK. I'm not sure how ride openings work so maybe it's best to keep the reservation for MGK and just try for Gotg later in the day but I can never get the 1:00pm slots I think because I don't have the reservation for that park.

I am trying to figure out my strategy for my August trip. I have hoppers so I can go wherever is best that day but I also have tickets for after hours Hollywood Studios and MNSSHP. First day we are not going to any parks except AH HS. What to do about RotR? Is it just a wait in line thing? I plan to go to the early entry but don’t want to burn a park ticket. Next day is the Halloween party. Plan Epcot. (GotG at 7 am) and plan to hop over to MK early. Last year we got the Tron VQ at 6 pm drop but how to get both Tron and TB? Not sure if TB will be strictly VQ still and would buy the $LL for Tron. Can you pick your time? That is going to be the tricky day. That leaves us 2 days to try for what we haven’t gotten yet. We plan to do AK and got tickets for glo nights at TL but we only have 4 days so the girls don’t miss school. I have tried to read and figure this out but it would be helpful to hear from someone who has tried to get the VQs for the same days. Since we have limited time we decided to pay for events on the hopes of having lower crowds. Thanks!

We did HS AH last week and RotR was pretty much a walk on beginning about half way through the event. Most people do it at the start so I would suggest you wait until at least half way through to do it.

Be aware of app glitches if two people are trying to get a VQ for Tron and Tiana. It’s probably better to the for one and then the other

We did this last year and it was messier with a rider switch. Fortunately we were able to ride the VQ RS 5 mins before the $LL started. I would take screenshots of everything (with details of party members visible).

Everyone needs to be tapped in.

If you need a rider switch everyone needs to have a VQ BG (our non rider had a BG which they cancel and give 1 rider switch). Do not deselect the non rider.

For ILL$ RS only the riders need to purchase the ILL$ (you can refund the non rider if you accidentally book it).

I'm always trying to practice. This morning I was able to click on my entire travel group, but when I look at my planning, it only shows my 1 granddaughter I can plan with (if that makes sense). My husband has his own acct. and my granddaughters are managed by my son. Not sure why 1 shows up and not the other, and this important? As I stated, I was able to click on their names for the VQ.

Ok i know genie plus is changing on july 24 we will be there that week will i be able to book stuff on july 18 for the 25 or do we have to wait till its first day it starts . I told my daughter we cant use it till the 24 she thinks we can do a week out anyone know this answer

Yes I can see everyone in my MDE. I see all their tickets and reservations. I just don’t want any issues come up the day I go to book. Also I see where they are now getting ready to change the whole system again. I go in August so I’ll be reading about any changes they have in store. I go back to the paper fast passes and I think I’ve done pretty well at changing with the way Disney does things but sometimes it gets overwhelming. I had the old fast pass sysytem down to a science. This day of/every 2 hours/ after you tap/ pay extra for some 7 am 1 pm sometimes 6 pm and let’s not forget the VQ only with no standby. It’s all pretty daunting.
