Everything Pop Lunch & Dinner Changes...All Value Resorts to Change to Similar???

Disney Food Blog posted that the entrees at Everything Pop have been removed and on Disney's website, this is accurate.

The Braised Beef, Buttermilk Chicken, Baked Gnocchi and Chicken Parm are all gone and it is now pizza, burgers, sandwiches, and salads.

World Premier Food Court at All Star Movies is still the same with the Braised Beef and Salmon listed...

My question is, for those who have paid attention to such things, will the other value resorts follow and switch to this very basic food court style menu as well?

Opinions?

Because that would cause me to move resorts.

I have noticed over the past few months that the options at the value resorts were diminishing. I noticed it first at AoA, because when I stay at Pop I often go over to AoA for dinner. But they made the two menus virtually identical. Then I noticed fewer entree options. My last couple of stays have been at the AS resorts. I noticed that Music has dropped their entrees, but not Movies or Sports. I was just at Sports last week, and they still had 3-4 entrees, but I did wonder at the time if they were going to keep them or not.

At first, I thought they were trying to differentiate between the values and moderates by only having basic options at the values, but then there was a write up in the last few months about POFQ getting rid of the specialized entrees at Sassagoula’s like the jambalaya, and their menu is now very similar to the value resorts. My guess is that it is a money saving option and a way to get people to eat more often at the table service restaurants. Personally, I think more people will order food off site and have it delivered instead, especially at the values where it is difficult to access TS restaurants.

I see a blurb on the menu page notating "additional rotating selection of specialty offerings available for dine-in", whatever that means.
But if Pop's menu is solely burgers & pizza, it would be one additional reason for me not to stay on Disney property.

I'm not sure, but my best guess would that these additional rotating selections would not be available for mobile ordering and can only be ordered in person. Which is pretty lame to me, but maybe understandable given the volume those food courts do at peak dining hours. Always a shame to see cutbacks though.

This sounds like a supply issue but I also know some places changed stuff to have it in one place. For example both POR and PFOQ used to have biscuits and sausage gravy for breakfast. In 2019 I was so sad to discover it’s only POFQ now that has them

The mobile order menus (which match the online menus) are very limited these days. You can still find many of the other dishes, but they are only available for in person ordering.
Hope this is the case which would be fine for us.

I now see that AofA continues to show entrees on its website menu: seared salmon, shrimp and grits, tandoori chicken, braised beef, and sesame chicken stir-fry.
If that is the case, I would not find it overly inconvenient to stroll over if I am staying at the lower-cost and, to me, preferably themed, Pop.

So sad. I can't help but wondering if Disney thinks that all adults, just like kids, eat only pizza, hamburgers, etc. Well, that's all they eat if that's all that's offered! But I want my tandoori chicken, and I don't see Sanaa hurting for customers.

It's not all that is offered. I think they are just reserving their easy and quick dishes for mobile order. When I stayed at AoA in September, I was pretty disappointed at the mobile order menu but we ended up walking over there anyway and I discovered a lot more stuff was available in person.

So the mobile order menu isn't the entire regular menu? Sorry, I didn't know that.

I am very sorry to hear this! Back in 2005, last time we stayed at POFQ, the menus at the food court were very basic. I was excited to think the food was better. Guess austerity is upon us again. Yeah, I can't complain cause I'm getting to go to Disney :earboy2:but its still kind of disappointing that I wont get to try that jambalaya!

No, never. but it's good news if the food courts in person are not affected by lack of choice. In other words, if the food courts still have meal options that aren't just burgers and pizza but some of these meals are not available on mobile order, well, it's bad for mobile order but good that they haven't just done away with those meals.

Well, I just chatted with Cast Member 'Theodore'. Theodore had to check, but verified entrée selections are no longer part of the Pop menu.
And he said an example of a "rotating" item would be orange chicken with rice and vegetables.

This is actually pretty common on at QS on property nowadays, they'll often have a specialty item or two that will be on a sign at the physical location that's not on the mobile order menu or listed online. Sometimes it's for limited time offerings but they may want to control the number of orders for the more complicated items by making people order them in person.

Thanks for the clarification. I was confused! Sorry!
