Everything PhotoPass & Memory Maker

I have memory maker and very old Magic Bands. We used to get ride photos, like from the Mine Ride, etc. But the last few trips didn't give us any ride photos at all, except the ones like Buzz, where you can scan the picture. How do people get ride photos if they don't have MagicBands or Magic+ bands?
Older bands or magic band + that’s not charged will not pick up long range photopass I know there is someway to link your app to Bluetooth like a pp said but we’ve never done that

Do you need to have the app open for this to work?
We were in the same boat as you last summer and we received all of our ride photos without the newer Magicbands. I kept Bluetooth on and the pics showed up in the app. I don’t believe I kept the app physically open.

The Bluetooth enabled for MDE worked well on our last trip with old MB… Except of course on the one ride where we left the phone in the locker: Tron. We put in a request through the App to locate these ride pictures (with time of riding) and they were added to our gallery.

Yes, it’s as simple as that - all 11 people (or at minimum, all people who might ride by themselves and be alone in a photo) need to be in your F&F list and need to have given you permission to view their photos.
I know this answer is a year old and things may have changed. But, how do you give permission to someone else to view your photos?

Family trip next month, two rooms, and the Memory Maker is in my mom's name, she's in the other room. I can't find anywhere to give her permission to see my photos.

If that's her profile with the Tinker Bell avatar, she doesn't have her own MDE profile so there will not be an option to share. The MM should probably be reassigned to an individual that has their own MDE account.

Your question sent me to my MDE website, and it appears that there's a difference between what I see for people whose profiles I manage (my technophobe sister, for instance) and those who have their own MDE accounts and are simply linked to me via F&F (DD, for instance).

Do you manage your mother's MDE profile, or does she have her own MDE account? If she doesn't have her own MDE account, there isn't any place for her to view your photos (I assume photos OF her would link to YOUR MDE, but I'm not sure).

If she does have her own MDE account, you might not be linked to that profile - and looking at your screenshot, it says Profile Managed by [you, I assume], so that might be the problem. In other words, MDE doesn't know that the Tinkerbell in your F&F list is the same Tinkerbell who has a separate MDE account. It thinks they're two separate people. That can happen if you created a profile for her in your MDE, then later she created her own MDE account, and the settings weren't changed to link the two.

If you're not sure how to fix this, then you might want to call WDW IT - they're very helpful and non-judgmental. Their phone number is 407-939-4357.

Actually, Mom's profile is managed by my sister (also going on the trip) according to what's posted in my MDE. So who calls Disney IT? Mom, Sister, Me, Travel Agent? Or is this something sis can do online?

Would probably be best if your sister had the Memory Maker assigned to her since she has an MDE account and would be able to log on and download the photos. If she can't reassign it herself using the MDE website, she should call Disney to see if they can assign it to her.

I think that either you or your sister could call. You said that Memory Maker “belongs” to her, but usually it’s purchased via an M.D.E. account, so whose M.D.E. account shows the MM entitlement? If your sister’s M.D.E. shows it, then you and your sister need to be set to mutually share photos. If neither of you has the MM entitlement in your M.D.E. account, then a phone call is definitely needed so that it’s assigned to someone who has an M.D.E. account, regardless of who paid for it.

ETA I agree with @erionm above that if your mom’s profile is managed by your sister, the MM entitlement should be assigned to your sister. Your sister will then see and be able to download photos that include everyone in her F&F list, which presumably includes you and everyone else who’ll be on the trip.

Since you both said it, I went to my MDE F&F and "edited" Sister's settings.

So, this makes it look like I'm set then. Why my MDE shows this: 1746727118260.png
That's mom it's "assigned to" I don't understand.

Should everyone in the reservation (only one under 18) double check to make sure Sister can view the photos? I would assume so.

I can obviously get to it the setting from the website. Is it possible to do so from the app?

I think that someone needs to check that everyone going on the trip and who has their own MDE account is set to allow Sister to view their photos. It looks like anyone who doesn't have their own account and is managed by someone who does have their own MDE is okay as long as their "manager" is allowing Sister to view their photos.

But it's also interesting to me that the MM shows in your MDE account - who actually bought it? And how? If it's in your account and not in Sister's account, then maybe you'll be the one who can view and download photos without watermarks. Unfortunately I don't have a MM entitlement right now so I can't investigate.
