What are the odds that I will need Genie+ or ILL during the first two weeks of September? It’s been a while since I have gone but that time of year has always been low occupancy in the past.
Personally I don’t think we ever ‘need’ G+. Sometimes we choose to buy it to save some time in lines but that’s a personal decision.

It really depends on your personal budget vs tolerance to stand in line, heat, etc. September is still very hot.

We visit in late Aug when crowds are lower. We choose to purchase 2-3 days/8. I would have lived to have it every day but it’s not in the budget for us.

Purchasing G+ will always save time. If you ‘need’ it is up to you.

Thanks! I just meant with crowd levels. We used to go from Labor Day and stay about 8 days and my daughter could *literally* sit in Thunder mTn Railroad and ride it over and over without having to get off. I just hope the crowds are still like that for an early Sept visit.

Oh no. Sorry but you will want to change your expectations as crowds of that size have not existed at Disney for many, many years. I remember when they did but those are long gone.

You are best to anticipate a minimum 15 min wait for a few rides and longer for many. Ride times are still more reasonable it Sep compared to much of the year but crowds in general are higher across the board compared to what you describe above.

Unless a hurricane is about to hit or has just hit and the park just reopened, those kinds of crowd-less levels don’t exist. An uncrowded day means most rides at MK 20-30mn with things like Peter Pan, 7DMT, Jungle Cruise, and Space Mountain 45-60mn, and a good portion of high capacity rides at 15mn. Download the app now and watch wait times between now and your trip.

Hey all. Used to be active on the boards but it’s been a few years. A quick question

My daughter and friend are heading down today with their aunt! All are a little technologically challenged, so I had a question. Would I be able to book their Disney genie plus stuff and virtual queues for them (following the steps outlined above) even though I am not physically down there? All three appear on my MDE as “people I share plans with” or whatever. Any help would be awesome. Thank you.

If you are linked as family and friends you should be fine. Last month I attempted to sign into a friend's account while she was at WDW (as they were having problems booking and requested help) but it gave me grief signing in from home. Thankfully they figured it out.

Note: I just realized that I originally posted this in the wrong thread, so my apologies to anyone seeing this twice.

One of the parts of setting up "My Day" in the MDE app is selecting your party size. After completing the My Day setup you are then taken to your tip board where you can see all the available LL times for the park you've selected. Does anyone know if they show you the available times based on your party size when you set up "My Day" even if you haven't purchased G+? If so, them I am cautiously optimistic about the G+ availability I'll have with a party of 11 when we leave in a couple weeks!

So i watched a youtuber who does alot with G+ and he did an experiment based on 2,5,7,9 people. He found doing side by sides that different (later) times were shown repeatedly for the 7 and 9 group than for the 2 and 5. They all had G+ on the day and were at the park.

So I did some experimenting today and it may be my imagination, but I set up My Day with 11 people and looked at LL available times for popular rides that still had availability, but not immediate (LL arrival times were 3 or more hours in the future). Then I set up My Day with just me as the party going and there SEEMED to be more flexibility in available LL times, whereas the arrival times for 11 were much more rigid. Again, I did all this without actually purchasing G+ so it may have been my imagination.

To me this makes sense as finding room for 11 people is more challenging than one so times would be later. But, everything changes July 24th with the newly announced Genie changes.

Sorry just saw another thread about this topic. Please ignore

Not sure if I will get an answer since it hasn’t happened yet but with the roll out of the new Genie+ on 7/24. Will you still be able to buy for more than 1 park? And if you book your 3 rides for later in the day would you still be able to book a LL when the park opens?

We will be starting an entirely new thread but for now what we know (and I just learned - thanks @lovethattink) that it will be able to be used at more than one park but first 3 will need to be at the same park. I'm still unclear if prices will differ between parks. Still learning here.

Can you cancel a VQ? My plan for July 3rd is to attempt to get VQ for TBA at 7AM and then at 1PM attempt to get a VQ for Tron. But I know for that to work the the 7AM VQ has to be used. I am not sure we will cancel the 7AM VQ but just wondering if that would be an option. We also plan to get G+ that day. The main worry is all the downtime TBA has been having.

I would recommend reading the first post of the 'Everything VQ' thread and possibly asking that question there. I'm not 100% positive as I've never wanted to cancel a VQ. If I could answer easily I would but I'm just not sure. Hopefully someone in the other thread might easily know the answer to that question.

Yes. I’ve done that to get a later group for Tron when the queue stayed open for a long time one morning at 7am. Obviously taking a huge risk because the queue could close but that time it paid off.

Is there a Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass thread somewhere yet?

Trying to find certain things buried in dozen and hundred page posts is exhausting especially when I can't even find the thread to begin with.

There are a few. Here's the main one: https://www.disboards.com/threads/p...t-walt-disney-world-starting-july-24.3948850/

There is not yet an Everything Lightning Lane thread where the rules are summarized at the beginning then kept updated by the moderators. I doubt we'll see that until the dust settles and we see how the new system actually works.
