Everything but Disney Day 3 - Legoland and Mannys

Monday 17th October 2012

We woke at 6.30am today – getting better

Set off and stopped for breakfast at Perkins at the junction of I4/27. We have eaten there a few times before, it was good as usual but busy. Again i’d signed up to the email club and got a coupon for a free breakfast for joining – cosy $18 plus tip.

We had an omelette each and coffee and DD rainbow pancakes and milk. They also give kids a cookie after their meal.

We headed down the 27 to Legoland an easy drive and arrived just before opening at 10am. Parking was $12. It was open 10-5.

It was quiet despite only being the third day open. Mainly brits, local with pre school kids and retired couples.

I’d bought our tickets online using the pepsi promotion code for a free kids ticket and they worked fine.[/size]

We had a good day and did almost all the rides. It was great for younger kids like DD.

We took a small cool bag in with wraps and snacks no problem.

DD had a glitter tattoo done for $12

There were a few rides left from cypress gardens like the carousel and a some gardens (which we didn't get chance to look at) and a few tributes like the southern belle

We left at 4.45 and called ahead to mannys chophouse which is on the way back on the 27. We got there at 5.05 and were seated straight away.

Good food and service – really hit the spot.I had 10oz sirloin and mash, DH 14oz sirloin and mash, DD pizza and fries – plus 3 soda’s (comes with bread and salad) Cost $38 plus tip. Was kids eat free night (Monday and Tuesday – so DD’s food was free)

They are currently doing a free appetiser promotion for signing up to the email club but this the only deal I missed out on! Dobt they would have done free appetiser with kids free aswell.

We stopped at publix on the 27 for a few bits and had a quick look in target and best buy at Posner park at the junction of I4/27. DD got a Barbie wedding set (barbies this trip 6!)

We were ‘home’ at 8 and DD went straight to bed.

I did some washing and got sorted for the next day.

I already have a long list of newsletters I will subscribe to the week before we're headed to WDW but because of your TR I just added Coldstone to it, can't miss out on the free ice cream
I too have lost 3st on Weight Watchers(hopefully 4st by the time we leave) but will be enjoying myself when I'm there
