I know it's a little early yet but was wondering what anyone has heard ? We want to go Dec 8-14 but this would really get us there for 7 days and I would be so excited!

Even if they don't offer this does anyone know what other savings they might offer at this time and would it even come close to the savings of the FTP??? Thanks a bunch!!!

I hope so! We are booked Nov 14-21st of November(room only and are waiting to buy our tickets). I just get a feeling they will not extend to the hoilday season. I hope Disney takes into account people that have booked their trips far in advance and not just treat the people that saw this special and thought " Huh I think I will go to Disney."

Either way I will enjoy my trip with my family to the fullest!!!! :p :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I was hoping the same thing. We are going the first week of Nov and it seems like all the specials and codes end in Oct. I can't even get a code for ASMo for Nov. Really didn't want to pay full price....might as well stay offsite? If the fairytale pkg gets extended, which I doubt, how will we know before everyone else takes it? Guess I gotta just keep surfin! Take care!!

I think it all depends on how this marketing strategy works, for them to offer a deal like this over the summer was unthinkable and yet they did it.As you can see by my countdown clock I'm also going Dec 2-8 ,right now I'm staying at Royal Pacific for 4 nights to visit "the other parks" and at AKL for 3 nights to go to MVMCP and hopefully do the sunrise safari. IF, they extend the FTP I will cancel RPR and Universal and stay at DW.

So, if anyone at the Marketing Dept is reading , if the FTP is extended I will change my plans ;) .

Well, we are prepared to pay full rack rate at Pop Century for the week it opens only because, we most likely will never be in a position to be the first guests at any new WDW hotel ever again. I am waiting to see if we are blessed with some great room only codes. I would prefer to not be forced into the position of having to buy an AP to save on the room, but I will if the deal is good enough. We would love just a good room only code and be able to purchase our tickets from Paramount. I will only need a 5 day PHP, but I will buy the 7 day PHP, so that we will have something left for a long weekend in FL next year or some time later when the need for Pixie Dust just gets too great to ignore. We have plans to do some other things next year and use some of the "Disney savings" toward paying off some bills.

The FTP would not be my first choice for getting through our vacation either. I really don't want to have the hassle of cancelling with CRO to change to WDTC. I like CRO reservation policies much better. Anyway, it all boils down to the best deal in the end. We shall see. Mickey

Like I stated in another thread a while back, the only reason I don't think it will be offered is because you might lose out on the water park admission if the weather is cold. Also, one of the water parks usually closes for rehab around that time.

For me, it wouldn't be worth my while to have all of those "extras" because my kids aren't interested in DQ or any of the others, just the main parks. I wouldn't be getting "everything". I would prefer a room only code & PH's. At least with PH's, you can save unused days, too.

JMHO.:D

The holidays are a very busy time and the water parks wont all be open so I think that they may not extend. I do however think that they will try a similar package as soon as the holidays are over again to draw more crowds during slower times. It worked for my family! We were planning a trip for Oct 05 but when I called about the FTP pricing, it ended up costing alittle over $600.00 a person for 8 days & 7 nights at CBR! My DH said lets go now! We can still plan to go later but this was a dream price for us even if we did not use the extras. :bounce:

Please don't tell me they won't offer any more packages or room only codes until after the Xmas Holiday. This is probably the only way we will be able to go. I would be fine with another package if it saves us somthing similiar to the FTP. What is everyones experience with discounts for the month of Dec. ?? Did they offer anything last year for early Dec timeframe as far as discounts ??:(

We have gone to WDW during early Dec. since 1992. The first couple of years, we paid rack room rates, because we didn't know about the discounts. Since we found out about the discount codes, we have always gotten a very good discount. We haven't gone to WDW over Christmas or New Years.

The discounts have been with AP's, regular codes and the Jolly Holidays Package. The package included a great room rate, with a Christmas dinner and show. AP and other codes were room only.

Just keep your eyes on this board and www.mousesavers.com and I bet very good rates will be available.

hmmm, if this stays through December, I would have to reconsider renewing my AP, that is, unless an AP discount is given for the FIRST WEEK of Pop Century! whew! I love saying that!
1970s building, you won't be lonely long. Here I come!
