my DH is going to DL for the first time on our family vacation in feb. i have been there SEVERAL times, however, its been about 10 years. hes never been on any type of vacation his whole life, hes 26, and it will be our first family vacation with our lil boy. so i want to make it a very special trip and do anything i can to help him to enjoy it! share your tips for first visits, or any neat secrets, things he should do for the first visit! i have many of my own tips, i have everything written down lol but more is always better! thanks

If you are staying on property and since you have a little one, try to take advantage of the Magical Mornings and get into DL early. Fantasyland will be open and you can get on most of the rides without much wait. That way when the Lil' one needs a nap, you can go back to your room and take a rest yourself while he naps. Go back later and enjoy more rides or see more of the park. My DH can't take one long day in the park. I find if we break it up like this, he enjoys his trip better. We have older girls (11 and 14), but we still go back to the room midday.

If you are unfamiliar with FastPass, do your research and use it to your advantage. Even during slower times of the year (like Feb) it comes in handy and will save you from longer lines on the popular rides like Space, Splash, and Indy.

Would he wear a "First Visit" pin? I think the cast members give you special treatment if they see it's your first visit.

Yup...definitely take advantage of the FPs but you have to remember that your little one won't be able to get on some of those rides so find out about the height requirements for rides and also read up about the Single Rider Line. However, I understand that since it's your husband's first time, you guys might want to do the rides together.

And of course, you'll have to let him try the turkey legs, churros and Dole Whips/Floats :goodvibes

i acually dont need to do any research, it wont be just us, my mother and her driving partner are joining us so we can do what ever we want. yeah, like i said IVE been several times, was family tradition, so yes i do fast pass, and always do MM because we get 3+ hoppers. we arent staying on site though, hojos. thanks about the pin advise, i will DEF. do that, i will probably put on on my son somewhere too where he cant get it off lol, or on his stroller atleast.

oh also, ive had churros OF COURSE! MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! cant wait for all the churros and corn dogs, however ive never had dole whip myself and cant wait to try it. but what the heck are turkey legs? oh and do they still have tigger tails?

There are tigger tails in Pooh's Corner!
