It seems not that many people have had the chance to get on board this from other threads!

Break the trend and let's ride this ride this year!

Why? Are you trying to save this ride from the wrecking ball or something? I rode this once with my daughter and it was fun, but the line moves very slowly and the seats are very hard to get in and out of.

Yes I'm saving it! No I saw in another thread a lot of people didn't get to do it or just never got around to it fun to cross off the Disney bucket list!

It was shut when we went last year, but if it's up and running, it's on my to do list for next year! :D

My last 3 trips to MK, it was raining while I was in Tomorrowland and no one was riding it. TBH, even though it was running during that time, no one was riding it, so I think a lot of folks thought it was just a spinning decoration.

Sorry, CampbellzSoup..... you've been posting so much in the DL forum lately I thought that's where this was. Now I see this is on the WDW side.

DS and I tried to ride it for the 1st time in January. The CM sent us up to ride in the same ride vehicle. We're both big guys, but we didn't know any different because we'd never done it before. When we saw it we had a good laugh at both of us fitting in it. We tried--no dice. The CM up there was apologetic and wrote us an anytime FP for any MK attraction, which we promptly used for 7DMT. So we have good memories of our attempt to ride Astro Orbiter, even though we've yet to ride it.

Is it fair to say it's Dumbo up high? Or is there something different about it?

My family is one that has not rode it yet. Over our 8 trips we've never wanted to wait that long. Maybe this year!

Never done it. Maybe if the line isn't too long we'll give it a shot this time!

Yep, it's Dumbo up high. My family loves it because of the cool view. But they go without me because I feel very closed-in during that crowded queue and am afraid of heights once I'm at the top! (I'm a real delight ;) really, I love all Disney's "thrill" rides, but I can't do Astro Orbiter or the motion simulator rides!)

My family hates it, I like it, especially at night, but I avoid it because the line is always crazy and because the CMs like to squeeze an uncomfortable amount of people into those hot, airless elevators

It really is Dumbo up high. But it's a pretty cool view of the park. And it does feel faster than Dumbo, but it's hard to say if that's because of the extra height. I don't get dizzy on rides very often but sometimes do on this. Generally if I close my eyes for a bit it goes away though.

We love riding it. The crazy slow loading keeps us from it sometimes though.

Well, there you go, you cured me of ever wanting to go on it. :rotfl:

My own personal hell is a hot, airless elevator!
