Thanks to everyone who suggested it! It was wonderful and sooo convenient. Very nice to get out of the crowd of the parks to eat. And refillable sodas can't be beat. (at least while you are in the restaurant). Those nachos were to die for, and huge!!! Also, the chili cheese dog was wonderful and huge!!! Also, they had the bendy-straws, so we got extra while there for DD to use. We walked around the hotel for just a few minutes; so pretty and you would never know you were right next to a park.

Yes, it is so good. NAchos, burgers, chicken sandwich, french dip, beer to go. Can you tell we like it:lmao:

Glad you enjoyed it:thumbsup2
We eat there almost every trip. It's so yummy and less expensive than most other eateries in Disney. And peaceful and uncrowded, too.

OOOH, beer to go....tell me more. This is the first I have heard of this restaunt. Where is it? What do they serve (nachos and burgers I have gathered so far... oh and beer). How are the prices?

ahhhh yes, even forgot about the beer they have there. that's always a big plus when you can get a beer at disneyland.:cool1:

Its various kinds of beer like at 7-11. I bought some for dh and took it back to the room, we were staying at PP.

It's located in the Grand Californian hotel.

Ohhh and prices are around the same as you would pay in the park for meals ranging from $7-$9 and the beer was like $5.29 I believe. Can't beat the refillable sodas.

I haven't tried this place yet, its on the list for our next trip.

So is it a convience store, not a restaraunt? The 7-11's here in washington are just that. You can pick up a 6 pack of beer, cigaretts (no I dont smoke), pop in cases and indiviually (oh that would be SODA to most of you :lmao: ) and they also have chilli dogs, nachos, etc for around $1.99 and only worth the price of the item....

Its like a cafeteria(sp). They have pre-made sandwiches and stuff but you can order from the grill.

here's a page with some pictures, it's a bit outdated but you can get a general idea of what it's like:

Nothing at all like a 7-11/ convience store. They have drinks like bottled milk, juice, water and beer or soda from the regular fountain. They have some premade foods you can get. Or you can order from the grill and get fresh cooked foods. The service can be a bit slow, but the food is fresh and good! I usually get the kids meal cheese burger and its plenty for me,and comes with a small drink for about $6. MOst things come with a nice big strawberry or two on the side.

thank you for the link. I think I will have to add this to my list of places to visit

Has anyone been able to use the GC entrance without having to show a room key (ie not being a resident of any Disney hotel)?

If you can't use that entrance back to DCA, the stop to Whitewater does not seem worth it.

I had never heard of this place but will definitely pay it a visit on my next trip. I wish I'd known of it earlier!

We would hit Whitewater Snacks most mornings for a quick breakfast. They have bagels, cereal, danishes, etc.... Also had lunch here a couple of times. :thumbsup2

Ditto camouseketeer. We have always wanted to try the place, but since we don't stay at a Disney hotel, I think we would have to walk back through DTD to get back inside DCA. (Right??? That is how I understand it....) That has kept us from eating there so far. Hopefully one of these days we can try it when we leave DCA for Disneyland.

I think it only matters at opening and if the park is full (has that ever happened at DCA)

I've used it a lot when staying offsite.

If asked I'd just tell them I was eating at the hotel.
