Everyone RUN

Not sure I understand this post. You cancelled because you tested Covid positive? Your trip is 16 days out? Why cancel?

Dan
We had a cruise booked first: the wdw portion was just 3 nights after the cruise.
Departure date for DCL was 5.14.22.

Ah, makes more sense now. Thinking you'd still test positive before your DCL cruise? I could see that. This is speaking from someone who's wife and son just tested positive a couple of nights ago despite fully vax'd and boosted. This latest strain is sneaking through and has a massive R number. Stay safe everyone.

I would think it would also be an issue for how quickly/slowly it travels through the family.

My nephiew tested positive about a month ago- on his day #8 his mom was positive... if they were within weeks of a trip that would have been a mess.

I was told the questions at port include "have you tested positive within 14 days", and it wasn't worth risking flying to Fla just to get turned away.
Overall I think I got lucky, especially since I had some fast help in canceling. If i had to wait 6 hours on the phone I'd have been really miserable.

Dd had "a cold" a week ago but fine now. Home test last night was positive but antigen test this morning was negative.
Assuming dh does ever test positive, we're far enough in advance of the one I'm trying to book now.
