Everyone goes through bagcheck?

ROFL! Yep, everyone goes through --- bags or not. I am laughing because I have a friend who never has a bag when he goes to Disneyland. And it drives him crazy that there is no "no bag" line. I used to hear about it a LOT from him.

This is EXACTLY what happened! I was going to write a very similar reply, but Malcon10t did it so well, there is no need.

Yes, at DLR, everyone goes through the bag check. ;)

Same reason we don't have an AP only line.. (Besides the fact that half of everyone is an AP anyway...) "Well, I have an AP, and they are with me..." "I am going to upgrade to APs, so can we use this line anyway?" "I am bringing my nephew/niece/grandchild/neighbors kid, but I have an AP..."

When they've done the no-bags line in the past, it usually ends up with a longer line because they're constantly having to stop people and put them through to the other lines.

Honestly, it takes like two minutes. If it were a 30 minute line, I could see two lines. A shorter line to encourage people to come bagless. For a two minute wait, though, yeah, I'll wait.

Huh. 2 minutes? I've never had to wait more than 30 seconds. I guess we really do go in low season.

We were entertained while we waited in the bag check line when they opened a "No Bags Line" last Christmas. First, one lady with a loaded down stroller didn't think she and her munchkins needed to go through the bag check despite having a stroller full of bags because "it's a stroller." Then there was the couple who felt they should go through the no bags line because he didn't have a bag, and she was with him, so her back pack shouldn't count. And the lady who thought she she be able to go through no bags because she just had a "little purse". (It was a clutch.) All that in the space of maybe 4-5 mins. Yep, people can't follow rules so we don't have a "No Bags" line.

We saw this last Christmas too. I swear, it's a few bad apples (or entitled people) who ruin it for everyone else.

The only time we've ever waited more than a minute was when we were behind a gentleman who was arguing with security - saying that it's against his right to privacy to show the inside of his bag.

It takes all kinds...

We just got back from 3 days at DL and DCA and went through bag check several times. We never waited more than about 40 seconds. What's the big deal? So you don't have a bag, good then you get through faster.
