Everyone else likes it but I hate it

I just have to comment on this! Although it is certainly possible to have a salad with no vegetables, most restaurants serve a lettuce based salad. I would think any employee would certainly be confused when asked for this type of salad without the lettuce. At most places that would leave a few carrot curls, maybe a slice of tomato or onion, croutons, and dressing - hardly enough to make it worth ordering!

Actually the only place I really try to do this is Subway. They seem to have a problem comprehending salad without lettuce. Salad bars are no problem at all. If we get a salad off the menu at any other place, I eat the veggies and DH eats the lettuce. Jack Sprat and his wife!

After reading replies I just had to jump in here:

AMEN to whoever said:
Pumpkin pie
melons of any kind
eggs
sausage/bacon/ham I'll tolerate a little bit of pork chop

I feel the exact same way about chocolate as the op.
Lettuce, tomatoes, and just about any other raw vegetable doesn't enter my mouth (no I'm not the healthiest eater)
Pickles-HOW do people like eating sour slimy things...ewww
Couldn't agree more on pumpkin pie...I will never understand how my family eats that on the holidays. I'm not a big fan of mince meat pie either-but that's not as common
Mayonaise
Mustard

Oh yeah, I forgot about mince meat pie! Gross! Funny story though, last year we had a unit Thanksgiving party and some people asked what kind of meat was in it! They swear noone up North eats it.

I'm a VERY picky eater. Chocolate however, is one of my food groups! :teeth: I love people who don't like chocolate, they never ask me to share mine!

Things I don't like:
anything green, no exceptions
fish, all
watermelon
rasberries
Asian food
most vegetables

I know I'm a bad eater and really wished I could enjoy a good salad. I've tried, just can't do it!

Ok--go ahead and freak out. Everybody does. I hate pizza.
And steak. Oh and any kind of melon.

The weird thing is...I'm really not a picky eater! But the things I dislike are those that most people LOVE! I tell DD that just means there's more for her. But she's crazy if she thinks I'm cooking a steak!

Ok..I am a PITA. And my family all tells me.

But Pizza, Steak, Tomatoes, Caramel, white Chocolate, Thai food, beans (of any kind), Dark Chocolate, almost all veggies, any berries, popsicles, or any type of frozen friuty thing, cheesecake, all seafood, most fruits, cereal, pies, coffee, and Milk.

I could just keep going...but I think you all get the point.

I can't stand tartar sauce or cocktail sauce, most seafood tastes great without either of those things.

Unhatched chicken embryo's

As for this egg quote, i probably won't be able to change your mind, but in fact that is untrue. Most eggs are hatched by hens without having any contact with a potential daddy. So the eggs in your store are not potential babies and were never going to hatch to begin with. If the eggs are taken from hens who could have mated then the eggs are usually examined b4 shipping, with those being id'ed as hatchable staying off the egg market.

I DESPISE Chicken noodle soup...try being a sick kid when you hate chicken noodle soup
Really don't like any soup other than my grandma's vegetable soup..and even then I pack it full of crackers.

Amen to all those who hate pumpkin pie....I think it's the most horrible taste in the world.

My other weird thing....Cinnamon of any kind..taste or smell will give me a migraine from he!!.

Raw vegetables (check my tag ;) )
Red meat
Shellfish or "fishy" tasting fish of any kind
Mayonnaise
And Doritos. I can't stand Doritos. I don't even like being near other people who are eating Doritos because the smell makes me gag. :crazy2:

I hate mashed potatoes. I'm not crazy about sandwich meat either mostly due to the smell of it.

me too! I won't eat corn on the cob. I make my boyfriend cut it off and put it in a dish for me. I don't care for corn all that much anyway, but he always wants me to eat it when he makes it for some reason.

tricia.

:crazy2: I dont like raw veggies except maybe some celery, and that I hate when its cooked?!?!

Jello and the last bite of a banana ALWAYS make me gag!!

There aren't too many things I don't like but they are things liked by most other people.

Cheesecake
Lamb
Mushrooms
Cooked spinach

With the exception of the cheesecake all of these are because of the smell. The cheesecake thing is because it leaves a milky aftertaste, yuck.

Regular ones are okay, but just the smell of Cool Ranch ones makes me want to yuke.

I'm with Pooh Girl 71--I do not like Oreo cookies. Can't stand chocolate chip cookies either. Or any chip flavored ice cream.

Seafood
Cheese
Mushrooms (mostly that is a textural thing ... or a mental thing -- who wants to eat a fungus?!)
