Hi, your newbie here...

I stayed up last night going thru the swap gallery. You guys are GOOD. Now I'm scared.

I've been cleaning out my studio - (yes I have a small room of my own that USED to be my studio before it became the "I don't know where this goes so I'll throw it in Rhonda's studio" or the "hey this is a good place to sort all of the dirty laundry cause it's across from the hall from the laundry room" area.

This week is scrapbooking week at my ACMOORE - I haven't been yet.

Now can someone explain to me why I might *NEED* (and I know you guys understand what I mean by *NEED*) a Cricut machine. I am very intrigued by them...

Should I get one? Which one? Is the expressions bundle a good deal? ($319 for the machine, 4 carts and 7 markers) do I need one that big? What basic carts should I get? Decisions, decisions...

And since I never *really* got a xmas present...I may *NEED* this...

IF your going to get a Cricut, get the big one. $319 is a GREAT deal for the machine, 4 carts and markers. The big one can make things even smaller than the original sized machine and has some great features on it. BAMB has used more features than I have, so she could give you a better intro on them.

We really are a very accepting group. We don't need you to have the fancy machine or latest gadgets. All we ask is that you use quality products and try your best. Oh, we really dislike the glue boogies. So as long as you don't leave huge globs of glue on your elements, we are cool.

What carts come with it?

BaseCamp is a good font. Easy to cut with most paper.
Doodlecharms is a good year round shapes cart.

The rest that are "must have" would be purely speculative. It would all depend upon what other things you have waiting to be scrapped. Like New Arrival would be a waste if you have no baby pictures.

The first two are good, all around carts.
The third is good if you like pretty doodad stuff on your pages. I love looking through the book, but I've only made the snowflakes on it.
I traded for Paper Pups and I really like it. But you can always offer it up for trade on our trading thread if you don't like it.

Mine got my Big E when Hobby Lobby had misprinted some coupons that did NOT have the Cricut exclusion, so he got for 40% off. HL doesn't have the awesome bundles that ACM has, but I got the machine & the first two carts, so I was happy.

Post a new thread on the scrapbook forum with any questions about it. You'll get a way better response that way.

well i planned out my kiss the cook and laundry one last night. i had such a great idea for my laundry and once i started putting a rough draft one together i hated it!!!!! so i completely changed my mind. hoping to do those 2 today!

i have some ?'s on the days of the week. i am doing wednesday, does it have to say wicked wednesday on my topper or borders? and do i have to have something about my villain on the rest of the elements?
i was either going to do queen of hearts or captain hook. just thinking so i can plan it out.
anyone?
