Yep- it's that time of year again- I've packed a little of everything from gloves to shorts! :p I don't mind- at least I'm going to get to be there :flower: - any day at WDW is better than the same old - same old of everyday life around here!

People always seem to be surprised that winter is cool in Florida. As a long time resident of South Louisiana and North Florida I can tell you that most people down there wear jackets, long pants, and do not SWIM from about October till May or so. Very, very south Florida may be the exception, but the rest of the southern US is pretty cool in the winter. It does come and go, and a day that starts out cool can warm up quite nicely by noon. I have mixed feelings about WDW in the winter, it is nice not to be hot but we do not swim when it is below 75 or so, even with heated pools the air is just too cool for us. We were there the end of last March and my kids turned blue in SAB. This is nothing new, cool weather happens every year down there but can change from week to week. We go to Louisiana for Christmas, sometimes we get snow flurries, this last time it was in the 70s :D .

i sure hope it warms up a bit by the time we go on the 9th of february..last year when we went the first week of feb it was in the 70s and 80s every day....

Thanks for the report! We are SO COLD tonight in South FL...in the 30s! But Orlando tonight may be in the TEENS! Yikes! happy to hear it will not be quite that cold Wed-Sat (our trip!) Thanks again!

I'll take a night or two in the teens, considering our week here will most likely make it only as high as 32 on one day.

I guess the real question is--is that forecast correct??
This recent snow we had up here--they were yelling about 14" or MORE--we got just a tad over 7". And that forecast was that SAME morning.....

Uncleromulus is right - the forecast is just that - a forecast. Unfortunately our forecast for the snowstrorm was originally 15 inches, and we ended up with 28 inches with 8ft drifts!

So, let me tell you - I'd be thrilled to be in Florida about now, chilly weather or not! LOL!

Have a great trip everyone!

and our extended forecast shows a lot of rain. Daily summer rains are one thing; cold winter rains are another. :guilty:

harambe:
That "worng" was far worse than the "wrong " they were for us. Seems that when the forecast is wrong, but in your favor, everybody quickly forgets how wrong it was.
Good luck in digging out!!

So far the forecast l;ooks correct from what the overnight lows were. Good luck. I am down in Miami and this is COLD for me. For everyone up in Boston. Warm wishes and pixie dust.

I leave on Monday the 31. Whether it is cold, or whether is hot, whatever the weather, I'll whether the weather , whether I like it or not.
the idea is to be at WDW and enjoy every minute of it
:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
