Every WDW DVC Resort.. we shall succeed!

OKW- First trip "home" we loved it- last February
AKV- First Summer trip.. really liked the atmosphere, and the savannah view was unbelievable!


SSR- this February.. can't wait, our first stay at our home resort.
Boardwalk- Gonna try to secure a standard view this week for this coming summer, wish me luck!

That leaves

Beach club- gonna try for summer '10
Wilderness lodge (how hard is it to book at the 7 month window for mardi gras?)
And the new DVC resorts...
BLT and Treehouses...

It is so exciting to know that we have so much variety with our vacation resort choices..

How many of you have visited all the current resorts.. what did you think of them?

One day, we will visit all DVC resorts!!!

Have stayed at all the WDW DVC resorts and each has its own special feel. In order of preference I like
OKW- love everything about the resort and the villas except the studios - preferr the bed and pull out sofa when it is just two of us
SSR- like this resort for closeness to DTD, relaxed feeling of the grounds and pools and the set up of studios
AKV- enjoyed a day at the pool and loved the vannah view when we stayed here in September.
BCV- own there and stay for the use of SAB and enjoy closeness to EPCOT
VWL- enjoyed the closeness to MK, the pool bar and the main pool area - general landscaping and grounds are too much like home to be a draw for us.
BWV- liked the closeness to EPCOT and DHS but did not care for room or pool - will probably try it again someday but only if can't get what we want at another resort.
my family has other preferences so it depends on the mix of people who are going as to which resort I try for when I call for reservations unless it is Christmas and then it is OKW for the majority of the stay. Love decorating the balcony and the lower points also make a longer stay possible in the high point season.

Wow, I could have written that! I feel exactly the same way except that I have never stayed at BCV.

Thanks for the info.... we loved the "laid back" pace of OKW.. we've heard that's kinda how SSR is as well.

We also just loved the theming of AKV. One of my favorite times this past summer was just relaxing poolside at AKV.. boys were swimming, wife and I were relaxing in the early evening.. it was very special.

Looking forward to going to our home resort in a few months!!

Thanks for the descriptions. I have only stayed SSR so far, but really want to try some of the other resorts, especially OKW, BCV and AK. Almost to my 7 month booking window for early June - can't wait!

I've stayed at all of the Orlando resorts except VWL, and I'm staying there in February. Of course, I'm going to try and get a reservation for a night or two at BLT as soon as I can, just so I can 'collect' it too.

I've stayed at all except SSR. I did visit SSR for the first time last week, we went over to see the DVC models and ate at Artist Pallate. It just seems too big for me.

We've only stayed at SSR so far, and our next trip is scheduled for December 6-11th 2009 or the week before if Pop Warner is scheduled the 6th - 11th. I really want to switch at the 7 month mark to a different DVC resort because I want to try them all, but just in case I can't, I may go with trying to secure a THV since I'll have home booking advantage when ressies start. Either way, I'd be stoked to get in to another resort to make my rounds. I really want to do THV, BWV, OKW first though. We're doing a short trip for my brother's 21st birthday in 2011 and we're hoping to score some studios at BWV or BCV but I bet that will be hard at 11 months out so maybe I can talking him in to a resale before that, !

I'm with you on this quest! We have done 3 so far - AKV (our home), VWL and SSR. I found things I liked about all of them, nothing I really disliked. They each have their own charm and unique advantages.

I want to try one of the Epcot resorts next so hopefully in the next 12-18 months we will have 4 under our belt.

In October, we finished off the whole current DVC group with a stay at the beach cottage at Vero Beach. We've only been members 2 years but since we live locally, we take many little trips.

We love each one for different reasons.
BCV - the pool and location by Epcot.
BWV - the fun atmosphere and location by Epcot.
OKW - the room sizes and laid back atmosphere.
SSR - our home. close to DTD and easy access to Grand Villas (so far)
WLV - theming and boat ride to MK
AVK - animals and a place to stay when not even hitting the parks
HHI - our relaxation vacation every New Year's. It's got everything we need for a nice break.
VB - An amazing vacation right on the beach with a cool pool and fun resort activities.

So far we've done:

1. BWV - our favorite so far for the location and decor
2. SSR - close 2nd and we like for the same reasons (location and decor)
3. OKW - we really disliked OKW but we didn't have a car. We were really far from everything at the resort and buses were really bad. However, for the points it costs it's hard to beat the room size and having 2 actual beds in a studio.

We've stayed at SSR a few times now and going back in 2 weeks!
Next May we are planning to stay at AKV and I hope to stay at BLT next October.

While I like the location of BCV and the pool, I'm not sold on the atmosphere and decor so we haven't really considered staying there. Same with VWL.

Just personal preferences, but who knows, those could change and we end up at VWL or BCV soon.
