Every ride/attraction at Disneyland in 7-hours?

My brother is going to be at Disneyland for the entire day on a Monday in early October when the regular park hours will be from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. because of Mickey’s Halloween (he’s got tickets to that as well.)

He will be at the park for those first 7-hours by himself before meeting up with friends in the evening. We were talking about his solo expedition and he decided he was going to go on everything -- EO and Tiki Room as well – in 7 hours …sounds fun to me.

His strategy is to finish Tommorowland first then hit the Matterhorn and Small World, all of Fantasyland (aside from the canal boats and the circus train) and then west to Big Thunder. On to Pooh and then head back east and hit everything all the way back to the Tiki Room. He will finish this marathon on Main Street with Mr. Lincoln (anyone know it Great Moments will be open) and end, hopefully, somewhere around 3 p.m. with a round trip on the DLRR.

I think the plan is pretty tight, but I’d like to hear from people who have done this or considered it.

Also, I am coming up with a few side-sites he has to see (I made an interactive park -map with pictures of Walt in the park that he must visit and take time to reflect on ) so if anyone has ideas, I’d love to share them with him.

I can’t imagine going to Disneyland by myself for a day…until I start imagining it

I'm not sure if it can be done, and if it can, I'm uncertain about the 'finish a land before moving on' strategy. I mean, does he really want to spend a half hour during the first 2 hours of the day watching EO? I'm guessing he could catch that later and still not have much of a wait.

And what about Peter Pan? I might opt to grab a FP for SM and hit that first since FL doesn't have FPs.

If it's October 1st or 15th, it's definitely possible. If it's Oct. 8th--nope.

I agree with PP; it will take some legwork and wise fastpass use, and he will need to ride or get FP's for all major rides in the morning. Sit-down attractions, boats, and train should be saved for afternoon. I assume he doesn't want to play in every house in Toontown, and Indy will be closed, so that will help. He should also take his own food or eat at the unpopular places.

Let us know how he does.

I like the idea of skipping EO for later, but I also think it would be fun to do an entire land before moving on.

Tomorrowland is kind of a monster when you think about it, 8 rides plus a 17-minutes show. There are three fast passes to be had, but everything else can generally be walked onto. If he gets this land done in 2-hours he's got 5 hours for the rest of the park.

Figure an hour for the tiki room and train and his window for the rest of the park is only four hours for everything else.

I don't think he is going to make it, but I will keep you posted as to how he does.

I agree with mixing it up. Peter Pan and Dumbo first, then FP for Star Tours or SM. Then Autopia and Nemo then back to Fantasy land. Over to Frontierland for another FP and then hit some other rides... But definately need to hit the slow loaders first and collect those FPs as often as possible...

Upon further review...

He is going to need until 6:00 unless he cuts out boats, trains, monorail, treehouse, and some of the other attractions that aren't considered "rides."

This seems to be the theory to follow, but it seems like a lot of walking back and forth. Pan and Dumbo right off the bat makes a ton of sense though.

FWIW, there will be numerous rides under refurb in early October including Indy. So no one can go on "everything" no matter how many hours they have.

And I will add that even after you have ridden every "ride," you have not experienced Disneyland. When will he stop and take in the magic?

Well he be there for magic morning? Sorry if you've said so and I haven't noticed! If you have the use of MM, id see if Star Tours and Space Mountain are open when he get's there. They had 'technical difficulties' with Space when I used my magic morning and it didn't open until half an hour before official opening. Still onlt a 10 minute wait though. He'll also be able to use the single rider line! I forgot which rides had this available when I was there so maybe he could write a list and keep it in his pocket if his memory is as shocking as mine! I would take all good things in stride and stay positive and say it can be done! Always go into things with a positive attitude With some smart fastpass use and quick footwork he might just be able to do it! It will be very tiring with little/no time for breaks. Id suggest packing some easy eat snacks to eat inbetween rides and shows, and to nibble on waiting in lines. That way you'll stay relativley full without having to stop for lunch!

I believe it to be VERY difficult to do even in a full day, let alone 7 hours, or even 10. The ride closures will help, but there are many attractions at the park that are being forgotten here that I think that will seriously limit things (i.e. mark twain/columbia, innoventions, and toontown).

Abandon any hope of doing one land at a time.

Focus on fast passes first for the majors, collecting one every 40 minutes, but riding none of them for at least a few hours.

Ride nothing until you've done Finding Nemo.

Peter Pan should be hit early as well.

If the train counts, use it to return to Tomorrowland to cash in fast passes.

Don't wait too long to do splash mountain.

HM and POTC should be put off as long as possible. Same for Tiki Room.

I don't think he can get everything in. But I recommend the touring plans from the Unofficial Guide to Disneyland - there is one I think called "Dumbo or Die in a Day" or something like that. We've used the touring plans at both DL and WDW with great success.

He's going to be there for 4 days, this is his first day, plenty of time to "take in the magic."

I'm not really understanding why he has to be done at 3? The Halloween party shouldn't start until at least 6, so he has all that time as well... Admittedly it will be busier at that time, but that's still a great extra chunk of time!
