DH & I went to Universal in January 2012 and we had a good time. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan so I really enjoyed that section. I will admit though it wasn't Disney! I found myself comparing each show/ride to Disney. If you have any questions, let me know.

I totally understand! While I really enjoyed Universal, I was also sad because I was in Florida and not at Disney.

At the risk of sounding a little crazy, Universal makes me appreciate Disney even more. I do enjoy US while I'm there, they do have some good rides and the Harry Potter theming can't be beat, but when I get back to Disney I feel like I'm coming home all over again!

Hey everyone I thought you might like to see what i was up to this past weekend,so I'll get to that in a minute but first let me just say that I checked the other day and it was 155 days from the nest disney trip YAYYYY.Also i'm almost at 2 months away from final payment EEEEKKKK!!! Anyways I have some pics n stuff from my weekend that isn't technically Disney content but does have some Disney paralells like ,rainforrest cafe,coke products,Joim shore,Elvis and some food porn for ya.So hubby n my oldest went to a magic show in Niagara falls and I decided to have a date day playing tourist with hailey in Niagara falls.we started out by going to build a bear,now before i post pics does anyone know if build a bear clothes fit Duffy? Let me know.





okay this employee was hilasrious n great with H he had her n I both laughing so much ,he needs to work at disney I can totally picture him in frontierland for some reason!

that was super fun I kinda wanna go n make one myself LOL

okay so we weren't sure what we wanted to do next,I wanted icecream n H wanted a slushie so i figured we'd walk around while we figured it out,THen OH EM GEE you'll never guess what we saw!!!!!! The "real" Batmobile!!!! you see comic con was this weekend so they had it sitting on clifton Hill for people to see and I had to get pics of course to show you guys



and somewhere in that pic is a clue of whats to come



okay so that was cool but it was getting crowded around there n I get claustrophobic so we moved it along but I spotted something thats a rare occurence,infact in all my trips to the Falls (which is far too many to count) I had never seen this guy out and about so we stopped for a pic



do you know him? he's the rainforrest cafe tree Frog!

we ended up in the Coke store because by this point we were in need of cold drinks



i love the decor of this place







we decided on milkshakes I got strawberry n H got chocolate chip cookie dough

here we are h with her shake n me in my geek goggles!

our next stop was the Hershey Store because it's right beside the coke store n the shops r linked like at Disney



hey look it's the Nick wellanda of Hershey Kisses lol





and some cool light fixtures because no report is complete without those(all though we all know Disney ones r the way to go )

then we went outside n started to walk back towards the hill along the way we saw this....

and can you guess who was there? My boyfriend!!!! I can't believe he came all the way from Magic Kingdom to see me? That's love people you just can't deny it!

and then we met up with hubby n Riley at wendy's for dinner before we came home to watch Mickey and the Beanstalk,so it was a pretty good day and it wasn't Disney by any means but it was still pretty fun n it had disney reminders so that was nice

*Downtown Disney needs a Build a Bear...or a Build a Duffy or something like that! Love Hailey's bear's sunglasses! I want some like that!!!

*THE BATMOBILE! I did not realize that thing was so LONG! It is pretty amazing! What did Hailey think of it? "Babe" would have been jumping up and down all hyper about how cool it was!

*As many times as we have actually EATEN at our local Rainforest Cafe, the only time we ever see the frog out in the restaurant is when we are just passing by! I am a mean mommy and will not allow the kids to go and have a picture taken with him when we have no intention of being a paying customer... Yes, my children are grossly mistreated.

*That Coke store is so cute! That picture of just Hailey cracks me up...
"enough with the pictures already Mommy!" The one of the two of you is AWESOME! I probably would have ordered a Coke float if I would have been with you. YUM!

*Um, that "king tut" type statue is creepy with that thing coming out of it's mouth....

*So, where exactly did your boyfriend show up??? I love that picture! Just wondering where in the world they had that display!

*YUM, I want some candy and fudge now! That does look just like the Confectionary... so very Disney...minus the Mickey candy apples.

*Hangs my head in shame, once again, as I admit I have never heard of Jim Shore. I am assuming one would find his work in the art stores in Disney. We typically steer clear of those stores.... "BABE" +Art store with expensive pieces = Bull in a china shop. Nuff said!

the jim shore stuff is all over the place you can find it in carlton cards or hallmark stores too,and i love his stuff!!My boyfriend was at Movieland wax museum of the stars,yeah Hailey was pumped about the batmobile but i think i was more excited I love batman movies and used to have posters of Robin all over my walls when I was a teen well hello Chris o'donnell how u doin wink wink! Omg and did you know he was in an american Girl Movie? I about died he's the dad in kitt kittridge!!!Hailey thinks i'm super cool for crushin on him because of that fact LOL.Hahaha u had me rollin with ur rainforrest comment,I wouldn't have gone in for just a pic but he was outside the place so I didn't care.And u should see when king tut opens his eyes they r red n he talks in a very low voice n then this crate above his head drops down n this crazy lookin snake pops out n starts talkin too !!I almost gpot a float too but i didn't think it was a good idea in the heat since dairy n I aren't friends in the first place I'm all over everywhere with my answers back lol.

hey yeah you're right the rainforrest cafe has had a refurb since then and no the Coke store wasn't there yet neither was the midway where H was in the carriage ,it actually used to be an outdoor arcade thingy that was called Dazzle Land( hubby n i used to go there all the time when we first started dating in 98)

i saw the pluto one at the mall by me actually i think theres at least 2 different pluto ones,but omg i soooooooo badly need my munks!!!! so i guess i'll be searchin ebay for those!!!

Awwww you got Tiana in there just for me!! That's a great piece too! Though the Rapunzel piece is also... I miss Niagara Falls! Funny story (and honest, this is almost related): after my husband and I went to WDW the first time in 2004, when we visited his parents in '05 we spent a few hours at Niagara and EVERYTHING reminded me SO MUCH of Disney. That was about when I realized I really, really wanted to go back, over and over. XD

LOL, I have never been able to get D to go on that ghost zapper's ride. Each year she says she wants to, then she changes her mind, even after she'd been on the Haunted Mansion multiple times. I have no idea how scary it is since I can't get in there...

Hey everyone well it's been a very long time and a few things have changed,unfortunately I was avoiding the dis like the plague because I was in serious Disney depression not knowing if I was going to be able to do Disney at all and then having to change my dates yet again GRRR stupid real life always getting in the way but I pushed through and had a few movie nights along the way with the kids until I knew for sure what I would do so let's look at those shall we?

Here's what happened when we decided to have a Ratatouille night(friends were supposed to join but something came up)

I had printed out hats for the girls to wear and we stuck with the theme "Anyone Can Cook"





so the girls made pb&j pinwheels and we had a friend be our centerpiece on the table for some inspiration



next they made ants on a log with craisins instead of raisins of course!





TADAAAAA our movie snacks were ready



but before we could watch the movie we had some other activities to do







you might notice Hailey had a wardobe change and a bath since the food prep,jam and Hailey together not always the best of plands lol







then we watched the movie and had our snacks and of course just as the movie ended the power went out so we went to bed.

okay so it appears that some of my pics are rotating when I edit them and some are not so i am sorry if you have to tilt your head but photobucket is not co-operating with me and I'm sure you'd rather see an update with sideways pics than none at all so I gotta crank these babies out while I'm motivated to do so .Anyways I tried changing things for the trip in my mind several times but i just kept getting frustrated and then free dining got extended so I switched to that and all was well in the world right? So to celebrate we had another movie night lol now I must tell you that my first attempt at a movie night was a mess,it seems anytime I invite certain friends something happens and the funniest part is it's not even their fault let me explain...... so the first time I decided to do one of these the plan was to do Lilo n Stitch so I made a menu according to that and got decorations and planned everything out only to realise it was no longer on netflix and we had hawaiian everything but watched BRAVE lol .Then this night we were watching Mulan and ordering chinese food and I had bought chinese lanterns to hang from the ceiling in the kitchen and a tablecloth to match ( which I ended up sticking with,because it doesn't slide around as easily as my old one did)so anyways there I was in my kitchen standing on a chair when everytime i'd hang one lantern another one would fall on my head n I kept going around in a circle fixing lanterns,there were only 4 but I must've hung each one at least 3 times before I gave up and devised a different plan lol.and so this became my decoration it's chinese ish right?



and then the friends and food arrived







but of course for 40 minutes I could not find the movie in any folders on my computer ,there were only 2 it might have been in and I kept going back andf forth because I had just made a copy for a friend so I knew it had to be in there somewhere. I just couldn't find it then I swear it miraculously appeared lol,I was almost ready to toss in POcahontas instead lol and again we did colouring pages because those never fail me lol

and the dog needs to be in the middle of the action because she loves kids



we watched the movie and hung out and had a good night.Then it was back to reality n bills poured in and things that were unexpected came to be and I ended up thinking Disney really wasn't going to happen so I checked for later in November and december and january even and thought about possibly paying for the flight home n having hubby and Hailey not join us but I just couldn't go that route knowing it would crush Hailey,so alot of planning and replanning and changing and sorting and finally ended up not with free dining afterall but with a room discount and switching from 6 nights to 5,there was no way I was messing with park passes because I was bound and determined that Ry and I will be doing 4 parks in one day for sure!! So the new plan was born.
