Everglades?

Thinking of spending a day exploring the Everglades with maybe an overnight stay?

Does anyone have any experience of recommended things to do etc..

We have done Airboats on a few occasions so something different would be preferred?

Could you be more specific ?

The Everglades are big. They range from the shores to the south of Florida, alle the way up to Kissimmee.

Do you mean the Everglades state park, aligator alley and so on ?

When you mention a visit or an overnight stay, are you talking about driving down from Orlando and back up again ? Because that's a long long ride.

Could you be more specific as to how, when and where ?

Me and DBF have just booked a Two day Everglades and Miami excursion through attractions islets.com.

We was wanting to go to Miami anyway but to get there without car hire was a ridiculous price, then we stumbled across this. The coach picks you up early doors and takes you to Miami, on the way there you stop and do an Everglades boat ride looking for crocodiles & then after a snake and crocodile holding experience, you then get taken to a Miami shopping centre to do a bit of retail therapy and then taken to your hotel which is on south beach, you are then picked up the next day at 4 o clock to be taken back to Orlando. All this for £125pp!!!

We couldn't believe it, I can't see how they possible make money from that price but we wasn't complaining

This for us personally this was the best trip we could have asked for because I've always wanted to go to Miami (to go to kardashians shop!) but the fact the Everglades was included was a bonus

Well you could stay in Everglades City & there is a Motel there

Or return to Homestead or Florida City.

Take a trip to Shark Valley & do the small train trip.

In Everglade city there is a Tourist boat that takes you out to see the 1000's

Islands ( About 2 hr trip )
