Just wanted to put this out there as a warning of sorts I guess... I feel it should be known that it can happen...

I was at AK with my 3 kids (Im a single mom). I have a 9 year old daughter and two 13 year old boys. One of which is 5'9" so he looks a lot older. Anyway...

In line for EE and one of my boys asks to ride with me, I usually ride with my 9 year old daughter and the boys ride together, so I was like ok. Well the CM directed us to the # slot and then we started going there when my other son who was with my daughter behind us in line asked to sit in the front. My daughter said "no, I dont wanna ride in the front" and the CM TOOK HER OUT OF THE LINE AND OUT OF THE RIDE OUT THE BACK GATE!!! WITHOUT AN ADULT AND SAT HER ON THE WALL ALONE!

Luckily, I saw this and was only about 15 seconds behind the CM, but he escorted her by the arm and she started bawling her eyes out. There was no asking her what was wrong or anything. Once outside the gate, she was crying and I was sitting across from her, another CM asked her what was wrong.

I was stunned that 1. someone put their hand on my child and 2. that they would escort a child alone out into the general public and leave them unattended.

No, I didnt complain. Im not the type, but I was stunned at what I was witnesses and very thankful that I didnt take my eyes off of her.

And it wasted out fast passes!

I'm totally confused. Are you saying they kicked her off the ride? Why didn't they just put her in another seat?

I'm confused too. By any chance were they leading her to the queue for the front seat, which might have seemed like they were bringing her to an exit? :confused3 I don't understand why they'd just escort your daughter out of the ride area without a single word?

Something doesn't compute here. Any CM can have a bad day, but this sounds like something else.

Did your daughter give the impression that she did not want to ride at all after disagreeing with her brother over the front seat? I feel like there must be something missing in between her saying she did not want to ride in the front, and the CM escorting her out of the area.

~Wow. This is the first time I've ever heard of something like that. Maybe the CM thought your DD didn't want to ride, but what happened to your DD is still strange and a bit unsettling. Did your DD tell the second CM what was wrong? If so, how did the second CM respond? You should call or send Disney an email describing exactly what happened and that you would like a possible explanation. Thanks for sharing!

This just doesn't add up!

There more to this, not that we are likely to get the full honest story!

AND....

Although I'm not much of a complainer, like the OP, I would not take kindly to someone putting their hands on my 9 year old daughter. Never-mind my crying 9 year old daughter... Why would someone trail behind a CM doing this and then say nothing until they get to an online forum?

Maybe some sibling pushing going on? Sibling pushing and shoving is rarely serious (though inappropriate for older children in the line with other folks) - but the CM, may have only caught part of what was going on and thought that it needed to be stopped.

Wow I would have freaked. Please everyone if something like this happens do something.

Seriously, He must have thought she didnt want to ride the ride, but didnt ask her ANYTHING. just removed her completely from the line and took her out the back gate. You know where the single rider line comes in? There is a cast members only gate right near it and he took her by the arm out that gate and sit her on the stone wall out by the umbrella there.

All her brother and she say that she said was "I dont want to be in the front row" to her brother and not to the CM. She probably whined it to her brother! The other brother and I were lined up in the middle of the train.

Once she and I were both outside the gate, the nice CM that came by asked her "Whats wrong, did you not want to ride?" To which she answered, "No I did but not in the front row" and the CM just walked on through the gate.

Like the last poster said, I didnt see any sibling pushing, but its not 100% unlikely . Im guessing he may have grabber her arm and she whinned loudly. Thats my guess, but that still doesn't excuse the CM from his behavior.

1. The CM should not have touched your DD, but maybe she was already crying and the CM was trying to steer her to the waiting area?

2. Children 7 and older may ride alone so I wouldn't expect a CM to babysit a 9-year old until your son got off the ride.

Wow that seems very strange. He just took your daughter out of the line for no reason?

I'm not convinced you have the whole story, then.

i cannot image that if she told the second CM that she didn't want to ride why that CM didn't pull her back into the queue. i agree with others that we must be missing part of the story.

If you're going to let your children ride unattended, which is what you're doing when you agree to split up, then you have to be ready for your kids to BE unattended, which means you may get off the right before them, or they before you. It means they may get stuck on the ride alone, or you may. It means that they are old enough to follow CM direction and know to wait for you outside of the ride. If you don't like this, then you shouldn't split up IMO.
