Planned Anniversary trip next week May 1-5 and then realized there was a RunDisney event - Everest Challenge was on May 2 and it's listed "SOLD-OUT". Will this affect crowds levels?

Staying at POR-Riverside (which is not a HOST resort) and made my Fastpass+ and park visits based on Josh's and Touring calendars. Will I be OK? First time without kids so hoping for best.

Last year I ran the race and was there, I really don't think it affected the crowds. It's only like a 5000-6000ish person race if that, so way smaller than their other race weekends. It's a night race as well so doesn't affect any parks as it's ran, plus is only at Animal Kingdom. There might be extra people heading to AK during that day to pick up their race packets, but overall you shouldn't notice much.

Thanks - this is very helpful.

I was in AK last year the day of the race as a park guest, and I noticed absolutely no difference in crowd levels outside the norm.
