Good afternoon!

I was just wondering if anyone here had ever worked at a Pizza Hut before? My current job has become less than desireable, so I have been looking for a new one. I have an interview on Monday with Pizza Hut to be a waitress. I have never waitressed before, but the place where I work has given me enough training that I think I can waitress. My main questions are how is Pizza Hutt as an employer and what wage do they pay their waitresses?

By the way, I haven't posted for a while, so if the rules for this board have changed, I'm sorry if the post is in the wrong place.

Thanks in advance.

Never worked at PH but I used to work the morning shift at IHOP.
(Seniors and hungover college students are bad tiippers)

You will not make a great deal of money but with the expereince I learned there gave me a great summer job waitering at a hotel resort.

All in all it's not a bad place to learn the skills needed.

Good luck

I worked at Pizza Hut about 20 years ago. They were an okay company to work for. I was cook and waited tables when we got busy. I think I was paid 2.09 an hour when I was waiting tables. I really can't remember how much I made in tips. It wasn't alot of money, but it wasn't to bad.

I worked at Pizza Hut in college in the Fargo, ND-Moorhead, MN area. They basically pay whatever minimum wage is, which can vary depending on your state. ND had a separate minimum for waiters and waitresses that was much lower because it was assumed that their tips would bring them up to the real minimum. Fortunately, I worked on the Minnesota side of the river, so I got the real minimum plus tips.

It was a pretty good job, helped pay for all my extras in college (you know, rent, food, the little stuff :)). The one downside is that my tips tended to be smaller than they probably would have been if I had worked at a family restaurant like Perkins. People seemed to think that you weren't working as hard if you were just bringing out one or two pizzas for a table rather than an individual meals, but considering that we had to seat people and bus our own tables, I'm not so sure that's true.

I think everyone should wait tables at one point in their lives. You tend to be much more forgiving of waiters and waitresses when you know they are doing their best. You also tend to recognize a bit easier when they are slacking off and should be giving you better service.

No. I refuse to work in the food preperation industry, especially fast food.

Nope, never worked as a waitress.
DH worked at Pizza Hut in high school and my SIL is a manager of one.

One of my close friends works at Pizza Hut. She takes the orders, but I am sure she has some other responsibilities. She has told me that it is an okay place to work...she doesn't have any real complaints. She makes minimum wage.

Hi there,

This probably wont help you much but there goes.

I live in Scotland and have never worked at Pizza Hut, nor do I know anyone who has.

However I live quite near one and I notice that they have an employee standing at a nearby roundabout holding quite a large placard advertising Pizza Hut.....poor guy what a job:eek:

I dont know if Pizza Huts policies are local/national or worlwide but I for one wouldn't like this!
