Ever wear "Earth Shoes"?

Have you ever worn "Earth Shoes" with the negative heel? They were popular years ago, but I see they are available again. I never tried them, but am thinking of ordering a pair.

Are the comfortable?

Absolutely. If you were in college in the early/mid-70s and didn't have some, you weren't cool! They were very comfortable once you got used to them, but it took a while to adjust. My DH still has one of the bulap sacks they came in.

I hate to date myself, but I had some as a kid. Actually wore them in a 20 mile March of Dimes Walk-a-thon. They were comfie.

I had apair too and LOVED them. I have two pair now And LOVE them again. Yep, they cost a lot more now than they used to
I really really love these shoes. My toes hurt with heels, so these are perfect for me. I have a pair of leather ones and a pair of the tennis shoes.

I loved my earth shoes. I had several pairs in high school. They were really very comfy to wear.

I was going to mention that they are about as ulgly as my Crocs!!! But in my book it is all about comfort, not looks....so if the shoe fits....wear it!!!

I couldn't wear them in the 70s, I had too high of an instep for the styles that were available, and my foot was too wide.


I'm thinking of ordering these:

I can wear Tevas and this looks similar in style. Like the above poster, I don't care about "looks" it's all about comfort.

I wasn't a big fan of earth shoes when they made their first appearance decades ago! I won't be wearing them now either. I just don't care for the style.

Absolutely I had a pair. My mom still teases me that I have a taste for ugly shoes. I loved all the room in the toes too. Still wear my shoes a little big for that reason. And yes, I own crocs as well and they do kind of remind me of the pair I had except for color and weight.
I think they started me on my shoes have to be comfy crusade.
okay I don't know how that dog got in my post. I think DD's laptop has a mind of its own!

My cousin has a pair like that. She has foot problems and loves them.
