Hi I am planning to visit DLP again next April 2008, but my husband can't get away then, so I'm thinking of taking my 4 children, 12,10,8 and 5 on my own.
Has anyone else done this?
I know it means I won't be able to go on space mountain etc. but there is plenty that my 5 year old can go on and as it will be my 4th trip I know where I am going.

if it was anywhere else, i'd probably say it's not a great idea. however, since you know the place and it is DISNEYLAND, i don't see why not. also, your 12 year old should be able to help out a bit...i think it would be great fun!

If it helps, my mum used to take me and my 2 sisters when we about those ages by her self and we had a great time but it might have been easier then because we went by coach.

I've taken my DD by herself 3 times but she was 11 and 12 then so quite responsible. We had a blast and no DH telling us off for too much shopping! Since you've been before I would say go for it especially since the oldest three should be fairly easy going at their age.

hi there ive been with the hubby 4 times ,but he lost his disney magic the
5th time so i went with a friend and her little boy ,it was fun it took the pressure of wondering if my hubby was enjoying it and wondering if he was ok to wait in line for 30mins for another princess  and we also could shop till we drop::cool1: you should be fine no traffic (well the odd car down main street) and all the entertainment you have the strength for, although i did miss someone to carry the rucksack (just joking:rolleyes1 )

My mum took us when it first opened, I'm one of 6 and at the time we were aged between 5-13. We flew there and at no point did we have any problems. My mum is pretty special though :flower3:

Thanks for your encouragement. I am going to go ahead and book as I can't wait to go back again. We are going to fly, hire a car and stay at Davy Crockett. My DS 10 wants to go back to Explorers as he loves the pool, but DCR pool looks even better!

You will not be disappointed in DCR :goodvibes
