Hi - we are interested in staying at WL concierge. Can you please tell me about it - location, lounge, food atmosphere etc. Value for the $? We have stayed at the Poly concierge and absolutely loved it. Any information you share would be greatly appreciated!! Have a great day and thanks for helping out!! :earsgirl:

This is from allearsnet.com:

Tell me about the concierge option.

The Concierge rooms are all on the seventh floor, each room has a privacy balcony and the view will be either woods or courtyard. Your room will have one King sized bed or two Queen sized beds or one Queen sized bed plus two bunk beds. The room has an ironing board, a hair dryer and bathrobes as well as a nightly turn down service.

The Concierge Lounge opens into the lobby and is also on the 7th floor. Continental breakfast, wine and cheese, snacks and tea, evening appetizers and desserts and cordials are served. The concierge desk is open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm to help with dinner reservation, shows, etc.

And here is a link to concierge comments:

I had a wonderful experience at the Wilderness Lodge concierge. It was my first WDW concierge experience (I had stayed in other non-Disney concierges) and I couldn't believe how nice everyone was. Everytime we stepped off the elevator the CMs said hi to us, or at least smiled. When we checked in, they had coloring books and toys for my son to play with. When we passed by the lounge after check-in, a CM overheard my son comment about how good the gummy worms looked. Well, a few minutes after we'd entered our room (that had a MK castle view over the trees) we heard a knock at the door. It was the CM with a cup of gummy worms for my son! It was such a cute, thoughtful surprise that got our stay off to a lovely start.

There was a lot of rain when we stayed there so we were in the lounge probably more than normal (there was even a hurricane warning). It was a very pleasant atmosphere. The lounge overlooks the lobby (like AKL) and we were there during Christmas season so it was even prettier than usual. The food at the WL was my favorite of any deluxe concierges we've tried. I loved the soups and the desserts. It was great.

I completely recommend it!

We've done WL conceirge, worth the money? Tough question! Then our daughter worked for Disney and we opted for the CM discounted conceirge room. Everything was great, location and food. Draw back was, we ate there mostly, skipped alot of our WDW resturants. If you're paying for conceirge perks use them, if not stay standard room. Rooms to us our same size as regular, had better views on regular rooms. If not for the discount would not do it again, alot of money for convenience if only you stayed at resort all day and who does that. If you have alot of favorite resturants you want to do in the World, the juice you might take in the morning, pbj sandwich in the afternoon or stew or soup in the evening plus an occasional drink does not do conceirge stay a money value. Having PS at the World is like paying double for things you aren'y going to do. I can turn my own bed down, we bring our own alcohol and snacks and dinner reservations are made before we leave home. Really not worth the price, its like parks tickets every day with all the options, 10 night stays we never go to the pasrks all ten days, never go to the swimming parks all 10 days either. Kinda of a waste of money. Buy what you can easily navigate your vacation with, not running all over to get it all done and your moneys worth.

We stayed at the WL concierge this past December. They were no help at all in getting our PS's and arranging other events. I faxed my requests approx. 95 days out - I called to confirm ( had to leave a message) - they called back and said they never received them ( they left a message also). I tried about a dozen times to call them but phone was always busy - I even emailed and no replies. I am a planner and I knew the PS's would go quickly so I made all our plans.

When we arrived at the Lodge everything was peachy - :flower: . The staff could not have been nicer - they met us in the lobby with a smile. The food offerings were nice - especially the desserts - .

My DH loves the Lodge but my DD13 and I think it is OK. The rooms are too small for a deluxe after you see the Poly, AKL and Contemporary rooms - for us. JMHO.

We won't stay CL at the Lodge - it isn't worth the extra money to us :sad2:

Hope this helps-
Jean

DH and I loved the WL Concierge level. We just came back (this time we did the honeymoon suite) and it was GR8!! The CM's did everything to get the PS's we wanted, we had emailed them 90ish days in advance, and I attached a note about which meals were flexible if were not available for first choice, and we got almost everything .... our fireworks cruise was a different night, but that was awesome also. As far as the money, it depends on your finances. It was worth it for us, we only can go every two years, and we love WL for its "one building" conviences. The lounge area is nice and cozy, with great views of the lobby and lake. We would go again in a heart beat.... and we always get it with the AAA discount.

Go you'll Love it

I've stayed at the WL concierge 5 times. My family enjoys being able to relax in the lounge in the mornings and evenings. The food is good and the staff has always be helpful. In the evenings it is fun to sit at a table, have a cold beverage, open up a park map and plan a strategy for the next day.

Hi - thanks so much for taking time out to reply. I had searched and could not really find the info I wanted.

Have a great day.

Hi - thanks for replying. So, there is no real "lounge" area, per say? Just want to make sure that there is enough room for all guests to be able to sit down and eat at a
table. Eating with a plate on his lap is a pet peeve for my husband and we have a 7 year old.

I know the resort is beautiful and it sounds wonderful, I have been there for dinner twice but have never stayed there. We love the poly and BC and BW. Next trip we are considering splitting between AKL and WL and splurging on concierge at both. My son REALLY wants to stay at WL, he joined boyscouts this year, maybe it's a camping connection thing. Don't know, but I won't argue with him. Sounds good to me!!

We stayed three nights WL CL. It was wonderful. Food was awesome, room had a view of the castle...............we didn't use them to plan anything though.

Would we do it again?? Probably not.

It's like this. We LOVE the WL and when DH and I make any trips by ourselves(without the kiddies) we will stay there. But not CL. I love planning my own vacation. HELLO! This is why I'm on this board! :p I love the WDW restaurants, and we would eat the CL food and not want to do the restaurants. The Cm's were nice but when I asked them to make a simple phone call for me to the car place that was picking us up (we were checking out of our room so we didn't have a phone), they said, "there's a phone over there you can use".

You will love the WL. It doesn't have the biggest rooms but it makes up for that with ambience and theming. Your son would love it. :sunny:

We loved it, would do it again, and we only stayed one night!

There are tables and chairs set up around the lounge area, so there's definately a comfortable place for people to sit and eat, and hang out.

There are about 6 tables and a couch, there are trays and sometimes we take things back to our room too.
