We are thinking of takeing a trip with my mother-in-law and her roomate, and I just found http://www.orlando4families.com/index.php
Has anyone stayed in a vaction home?? what are the pros and cons??
It seems like a good idea, plenty of room, our own pool etc cheaper than hotel.
What do you think??

Hi,
We rented a vacation home on our trip in 2000 and had really no con's. We will be renting again next month for our trip 3rd-13th. Our main reason for moving offsite was the number of people in our group 6 adults and 4 children and of course cost. It' about 1/7 th the cost vs. onsite.:) Also, it wasn't the same company you are using but I would expect them all to be about the same.

I'm a big vacation home fan. I have rented 3 different homes. It spoils you so much that a regular hotel room is not good enough anymore. I also use a different agency and have been well pleased with the service.

after having stayed many times in vacation homes I think we're going to BUY one ! it's a great deal for a family and I always liked getting away from the crowds especially using your own pool ! But, if you're looking for a down side there will be a bit more time in a car getting back and forth and maybe parking cost if you're not an AP holder (this is more than offset by your food expence savings) Go for it and, Have a great trip!

If I'm not mistaken, Mousesavers has this company listed (and recommended) on her site. You might check it out in more detail with them.

Hi

We also stayed in a vacation home in January. We had never done it before and it was wonderful. I have never stayed on property but I can't imagine it being any nicer than coming back to a 'home' after a day at disneyworld. We actually found the house we rented by going to www.vrbo.com. This stands for vacation rental by owner. I am hoping to rent from the same person next year.

hope this helps make you feel at ease.

Let me know if there are any questions I can anwser for you

We too have stayed in a vacation home and it was wonderful. We are doing it again this year. Got a 6 bedroom house with pool for $159 a night. There are 11 of us going so this was the cheapest option, not to mention having a washer/dryer and kitchen. I am looking forward to it.
