Ever slip someone your phone number in a napkin?

I left my number on the ticket for a cute waiter once, during girls night. We were pretty drunk and he was pretty flirty. He didn't call. (I'm sure I wouldn't call either if someone did that to me.)

I did the same thing and ended up with the same results! lol

Not exactly, but almost.

A friend and I were having dinner, when I saw a policeman across the room, also having dinner, with some other officers.

I knew this particular officer, having gone to high school with him and had run into him some months earlier. When we had run into one another those months ago, he had given me his business card and I had stuck it in my wallet.

That night at the restaurant, I gave the waitress his card and asked her to give it to him. Of course, she had no idea that we knew one another and thought that I was being quite brave (she also didn't know that it was his card, because I handed it to her upside down).

She took it to him -- he looked at it-- and got this really puzzled look on his face to be looking at this own card. Of course, he looked over to see who in the heck was sending him his own card (and, as he later explained, how they had gotten it). He came over to our table to talk to us (he knew my friend, as she had also gone to school with us).

That was 27 yrs ago; last Aug we celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary (yep--we were together for 6 yrs before we got married).

To this day, he says it was all because he got his own business card sent to him.

First of all just coming out of a relationship I hadnt expected this guy to call me back. I actually put my number in his phone. He texted me the next day. we talked for 1 day and one day only. Then out of the blue 3 weeks later on Christmas eve while I was @ Disneyland, i get this cute little text...I hope you have a very Disney Christmas.
Well for the entire week I was at DL we were texting like crazy.
I have never met anyone quite like him. After actually talking and stuff we have so much in common. ( I think I had him at my love of football) but it is going on 3 weeks of talking and texting and getting to know each other and being totally freaked out by our items in common.
1. both just getting out of long term relationships
2. both dislike fights
3. we both have the exact same birthday and were born at the exact same time just he was born 9 years before me.
among other things. But strange things happen.
So we are having our first date on Sunday
I still cant get over his text from last night.
Where were you 20 years ago??
I laughed so hard and my reply was well umm I was in 4th grade and 9 years old. That was so wrong on so many levels.
I am still getting a laugh at that text!! So are my friends.
But I guess we'll see how things go on sunday after our date.
I am hoping for the best.

Years ago I used to waitress and occasionally would get a phone number slipped to me on a napkin. One time the phone number was written on a $100 tip. I'd never call them back, cause the flirty part when I had a table full of guys was just to boost tips.
Once, while under the influence of cough syrup with codiene in it I slipped a note to a cute pharmacist that said, "Two good things came out of my getting bronchitis - I quit smoking, and I got to meet the nice new pharmacist in town" and I added my number. He called and we went out a few times.
