I've tried ebay but thought I might give them a try.

I sell books, DVD's, VHS tapes and CD's on Amazon.com with great success. So far my rating is 100%!!!! My DH is a voracious reader and I buy him a book on Amazon and sell it as soon as he finishes. I have not tried to sell anything on Ebay.

This is what I do, too. I've never used Ebay. Amazon is so easy to use, also.

A couple of years ago I sold some CDs. I thought it all went very well, but I only received one feedback out of all of them. No big deal, though.

I run a small internet store off of Amazon and a few other portals. Their commissions are very high, but I make probably 10 times the number of sales from Amazon as I do from other places.

I've had very good luck selling with them.

What is considered high?

I sell alot of used books/dvds on Amazon. Just last night I sold a used like new Snow White and Sleeping Beauty DVDs for around $31.00 each.

So far I have made around $500 selling with them on and off. It is much easier to list with them, but as others have said there fees are higher.

I've been hearing more and more about selling on Amazon. I have an ebay store and have dealt exclusively with ebay for many years but recently have been thinking about looking into Amazon. I used to be under the impression that the people that sold on Amazon and Yahoo etc. were the folks that were kicked off of ebay and had no where else to sell! :teeth: . Perhaps years ago that was true, but having purchased items from both, I can safely say I was wrong.

I wouldn't even know how to sell at those other places. I just want a place to get rid of the books my DH finishes. Any profit I make is pure fluff.

I've sold books and a digital camera. Very easy, and you don't have to deal with paypal.

When I started, ebay was the only game in town. I'm a creature of habit I suppose.

Thanks. I will give them a try. It's not much more expensive than Ebay but I'm wondering what kind of exposure the items get compared to Ebay. I have two camera lenses that I don't need anymore.

I tried to sell on Amazon a while back. They rejected me as a seller. :furious:

They never gave an explanation, even when I called asking for a reason & said they only give one chanceto apply to sell, once you are rejected, that's it.

Maybe they found out how many $$$$ I had made at eBay & couldn't handle the competition. :rotfl:
