Ever ridden a ride with a character?

I am so jealous - I want a character to ride with us:) :) :) :)

In November my DS5 rode Goofy's Barnstormer with Max. Both my sons rode It's A Small World with Peter Pan at the end of the Family Magic Tour!

These were the highlights of our trip and it was awesome! My advice is to be at Toontown when it opens and be the first to ride Goofy's Barnstormer! :wave2:

We were there right when Toontown opened on our visit. My daughter had seen her Disneyland Sing-a-long video so many times, and had watched the parts when Goofy rode the Barnstormer, so she kept telling me, over and over, that Goofy was going to ride the coaster. I kept telling her that I didn't think the characters really rode the rides...that it was just for the special movie. We were one of the first in line for the Barnstormer, and were thrilled to see Goofy and his son (name escapes me), Chip and Dale ride the first train!!! We weren't on the first train, but it was exciting just to witness. Of course, I got the "I told you so" from my daughter all trip!!!

That story is so cute. Be sure to check your PM box. I've sent you a message.

One fall afternoon DS and I were getting autographs in the area between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland (Teacup area). When we finished, we headed over to the teacups for our favorite ride. Well, lo and behold, one of the twins, I don't remember if it was Dee or Dum, walked up with us and joined us in our teacup.

Thankfully, he likes to spin as much as we do. DH got pictures to make it even more special.

We will always remember that day!

It wasn't first thing in the morning, but it was a slow day in the park.

In May, 2001, we rode the carousel at MK with Pluto. We had the early PS for Cinderella's Royal Table and we exited the castle jujst before the rope drop for the opening of Fantasyland. I wanted to head over to Dumbo, but my DD, then age 4, insisted that she wanted to ride the carousel. No one else was there, and when we got on, Pluto was waiting for someone to sit next to him! My DD went right over to him. I assumed that they were waiting for a VIP, so I asked if she was allowed to sit there and the CM that was with Pluto said she could ride sitting next to him. We were so exited! That day was the best day of our trip!

We got to ride Barnstormer with Chip and Dale. It was such a riot and we felt like total idiots riding a kids coaster but it was lots of fun. My only regret was not giving a camera to someone to get picutres of the two grown adults riding with cars full of kids and Chip and Dale! ::yes::

DS5, DD7 and I rode the Tea Cups with Alice and the Mad Hatter, not in our cup, but at the same time. They were alone together in a cup, not with other guests. It was magical to have them close, though!

Our entire family rode with Tigger on Pooh's honey pots ride. He sat up front with dd who was (5) at the time, myself, dh and ds (1) rode in the back. Great experience!!!! I was actually smart enough to get a CM to take a picture before we got out of the honey pot, so we have this wonderful memory in print.

The only suggestion is it seems that your possibilities to ride with a character only miminally improve if you are at the rope drop and can get to the Fantasy Land rides first. I am not by any means saying that if you do this, it will happen, but if I were to try to do it again, I'd be there at rope drop and hope that I am feeling lucky that day ;) !
