Research you do the more confused you get.

Maybe it's the blistering heat, combined with limited funds.

We are planning a return trip to Italy for the fall of 2003. We loved it so much last year. DH made me cut 5 days of the trip said; "It's too many days" now I'm trying to cram half of Italy into 16 days, impossible.

Maybe I should just let my travel agent handle this, he's never failed me before. Why do I think I know more then him?

Maybe I'll just drop my plans off and let him handle it. If there is something I'm not happy with I can always change it.

Gee don't feel so confused anymore, think I'll do a rough draft and drop it off. Just typing this out has knocked some sense into me. Thanks for listening to the rambling.

16 days in Italy sounds wonderful to me! Have a great time!

Hi Mamu! 16 days in Italy should be a wonderful trip. What parts of the country will you be visiting? If there is anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask. I'm mostly familar with the south of Italy, however since moving to the north I am slowly learning little tidbits of this area as well.

Wow, 16 days in Italy sounds wonderful.

Drop off your rough draft, let your travel agent come up with an itinerary, sit back, put your feet up and just dream about your days there. :D

I think you need a garden bud to go along with you - someone to stroll the grand gardens with.

Hmmmmm... let's see.... my passport looks to be in good order!

PICK ME! PICK ME!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :p

I think your idea sounds great and then you can tweak whatever the agent comes up with.

Happy planning.

We will be visiting mostly Northers Italy. 4 days Pontremoli, DH has relatives in Villa Franca, 1 night Siena, 2 nights Venice, 2 nights Florence, 2 nights Rome and 2 nights Sorrento and hopefully 1 night in Capri. The last night near the airport in Rome.

We will have a car for the first leg of the journey. The rest of the time we will be traveling on the trains. We learned last time, unless your in the country, do not waste your money on a car. You can not use it in the cities, plus there is no parking and you pay big money for the hotel to park it some secure parking lot.

Tiggerlover if you are in any of these areas let me know, maybe we can have an Italian Dis Meet!

Well I'd take 16 days as opposed to no days at all! Sounds like it's going to be a great trip.
