Have you ever planned to go to a movie and after looking at the movies that were playing, decided none of them was 'worth' the cost of the ticket?
It could be that there were none that were especially interesting to you. Or, maybe, it was a subject that was interesting, but you were just not in the mood for that kind of movie that day. Maybe, you decided that going out to eat was a better 'use' of your entertainment money that day.
It's kind of the same thing as deciding which parks to go to and/or which attractions to see. One way to look at it is to think of your energy as a checking account with only a certain amount in it. Each attraction has a certain 'energy cost' attached to it.
For you, the 'cost' of walking on the animals trails may not be 'worth' the enjoyment you would get out of them on this trip. One way to decrease the cost might be to use a wheelchair or
ECV so you are using less energy just getting from place to place. But, even then, you might still decide that you are only interested in 'spending' your energy account to go to Everest, the safari and the Lion King show.
It's your vacation, so your opinion of what's worth going on to you and your family is the important opinion.
If others in your group would like to see more of AK, they would have the option of stying longer than you. Or, if you have park hoppers, you caould spend a short time in AK and then go to another park where you want to 'spend more of your energy'.
