Ever Made a Specific Room Request?

Dh and I LOVED our room location at CSR at the end of May. I've thought about requesting that specific room for our July trip. However, I've never made even the slightest of room requests before -- it just didn't matter to me. So...I'm curious. Who has requested a specific room number? Was your request met?

Yes, I almost always request a room. Of all the trips we've made (see list below), we have only once received the room we requested.

If you only put that room number chances are you won't get your request. If you request an area, floor, etc. you have a better chance.

Yes, we have done this three times at the POLY and once at the YC. We requested Samoa, ground floor - facing the Volcano Pool, "AROUND" room
#1608 and received it three times!

Also, at the YC, we asked for room #1065 (I think)...and got it a few years back. It was ground floor, King Bed, facing the BW.

I think it helps to request something like "We would like to be close to room
# ______ " and then if you get it...Great! If not, the CMs will usually try to accomodate your request of the general location.

I have requested a certain building and floor, but not a certain room. I will find out if my request was granted!

Do you call CRO or fax the resort directly? On our last trip I didn't request anything and we got the furthest building at the hotel. This time I would like to make some kind of request (esp. at CR) and I'm not sure which way would be most efficient?

Make sure your request is on your reservation with CRO. Don't fax.

Remember the bigger the net, the better the chance of catching a fish. (translation: the more general the request, the more likely it is to be met.)
