Ever Hear of lowestfare.com

After doing a search on low airfares, this website offered the cheapest fare for my dates of travel. They were even lower than the major airline I use, as well as several internet ticket sites.

Has anyone ever heard of them or have done business with them? Thanks for any info you can give me. Their price is $20 lower than the airline's website, including tax and other charges.

I have heard of them, but never used them. Someone smarter than me could tell you how if you don't know, but there is a way to check to see their web site rating for reliability etc...

I put in my travel dates and it has restarted the search 5 times. It's either my computer or because I live "at the ends of the earth"! :(

They are owned by PL. Most of the fares are regular fares. The fare might be a special consolidator fare, you could also check cheaptickets.com, or it might be a mistake and you won't be able to book it.

What airline/date/time/price are you looking at?

Spirit Airlines
Depart ACY Nov. 26 - 7 a.m.
Return from MCO Dec. 2 - 10:20 a.m.
Price: $215 roundtrip
Spirit Website Price: $234

Other major travel sites list $241 and up roundtrip.

How do I check the reliability of this site?

Just to put your mind at ease Lowestfare.com is completely legit. I used to work for a subsidiary of them until they moved to Las Vegas.

We used them last summer. They are part of priceline. We happened to get a fare that was completely unbelievable. (Den / MCO -$88.00 RT) I called the airline to see if they could match it. They couldn't, but encouraged me to grab it through Lowestfare. Said it wouldn't last long. I booked it and indeed it was back up to regular fare within an hour. I just happened to hit the site at the right time when they first posted the fare. The fare was with AA.

We had no problems with the airlines, tickets, etc when we used the tickets. We were very, very, very pleased.

Unfortunately, since then, they have always been a bit higher than travelocity, orbitz and such. But they do sometimes have some really good deals.

we used lowestfare quite a few times in the past (haven't used recently only b/c we managed to find better deals for our flight times/airports).
they were excellent ~ the quoted price really is what you pay, no "catches", major airlines, and wonderful CS if you have a question or problem.
i would highly recommend them!

They are owned by PL and are 100% legit, BUT, I'm not sure if you'll get any credit if the airfare goes down and the change fees and standby policies may be more restrictive than if you booked directly with Spirit. It looks like it may be a consolidator type of fare.

If you care you might see if your fare is eligible for FF miles, some of these types of fares aren't.
