Four weeks ago today I stubbed my pinkie toe severely. OUCH!!! I thought for sure it was broken so I went to Dr. and had x-ray. He said it wasn't broken but was a torn ligament (when I was leaving and speaking to the nurse, she referred to it as sprained). It still hurts 4 weeks later. Any advice on what I should be doing to get the darn thing better?

I once strained the tendons in the top of my foot and it took forever for it to stop hurting. This was about 13 years ago and I still have pain every once in a while.

Have you tried taping it to the next toe for stability, I know that is the only thing they usually do for broken toes.

Yes, I did try that for awhile but have kinda given up on it. According to the x-ray the toe wasn't broken. But, my toe was so bruised and painful to the touch that even the doctor looked surprised it wasn't broken. He said it would be a couple of weeks before it would get better but it has been a month and I am getting really tired of it. We may go to WDW next month and if it doesn't get better soon I don't know if I will be able to go and walk on it all day! :worried:

Something I saw yesterday might help. They had these toe cushions, they are a tube made out of foam. They might hurt going on but they could provide cushioning enough to help the toe heal.

That sounds like a good idea. Where did you see them? I'll check CVS and/or Walgreens to see if they have anything like that.

Thanks!!
