It all started this morning.. Called my doctor's office because the nurse told me she was calling in prescriptions late yesterday afternoon but when I got to the drug store they hadn't been called in and the office was closed.. So - I call the doctors office first thing this a.m. and the nurse says she'll call them in as soon as we're off the phone.. Go down to the drug store two hours later and guess what? They weren't called in.. Grrrr.. Called the doctor's office from the drug store and waited around there for 45 minutes till they get it all straightened out..

Come home and get on the computer to work on my eBay stuff.. Computer keeps freezing up and/or telling me I've performed an "illegal operation" and it's shutting down.. Illegal? I don't engage in illegal activities.. Stupid computer!

Then I go into my Shipping Assistant to print out shipping labels from the USPS for my eBay orders that have to go out.. Get two labels done and a message pops up that tells me I can't print "without a printer".. Well - duh! What's this thing sitting next to me with the green light on? And what was it that printed the two labels prior to that message??

Off to the spare bedroom to start packing orders.. Of course none of the boxes are the right size for the things that need to go out, so I have to scrounge around turning snack boxes, cordless phone boxes, and assorted other boxes inside out so I can use them..

Then the tape decides to give me a hard time.. Keeps tangling around and sticking only to ME and not the boxes.. By now I can feel the scream working it's way up my throat and I'm starting to "throw" things.. Not a pretty sight - not pretty at all..

Phone rings and it's my DD with my Mother's Day "surprise".. I was planning on heading up to the lake on Saturday but she has made arrangements for her in-laws to take my granddaughter for tomorrow and most of the day on Friday (till her DH gets home from work) so that her and I can spend two days together - just the two of us - starting TOMORROW! That means I have to pack, grocery shop, make arrangements for DH and oh, by the way, "Could I make room for her horse...(oops, I mean "dog") in my van?"

The final straw was when she told me that her in-laws are coming up on Sunday so we can "all be together.." I don't WANT to be "together" with them! The woman drives me bonkers!!!!!

Definitely "one of those days"... Would someone be so kind as to take me out behind the barn and shoot me????

Ugh!:headache:

The shooting part sound pretty severe, but if you went behind the barn and had a good scream; that could do the trick.

I hope you have a better night than you had a day today. ::yes:: :hyper:

One of those days??

Honey, I have one of those LIFES!!

I agree with the screaming idea! Sometimes letting it all out in a major tantrum helps. Hope it gets better! (BTW ~ could the computer problems be related to your earlier problems here?)

One of those days?? Yes, I have them frequently!! I sympathise, but as my tag says, in the words of the great Dory....

I think chocolate and a bubble bath is in order.

Secretly thinks it was htat granny t person who was masquerading in c anns guis that performed the illegal stuff,, she was a real rebel

Ooohhhhh! I have a terrrible head/stomach/back/neck/shoulder ache! :faint: I really think I would be terrible company for your whole weekend. (or until your MIL goes away!) I think I will just take it easy at the lake this weekend. I really appreciate you planning this but I don't want to spoil your together time with your ILs. I'll catch up with you next weekend.

I know you love and adore me, of course I won't be upset if we're not together on Mother's Day. With a wonderful daughter like you, every day is Mother's Day!

I can't believe this day could get even WORSE!

I just dashed down to the grocery store and if any of you are familiar with Aldi's, you know that 99.9% of the time they only have ONE register open - even if the line stretches all the way to the back of the store..

Well - ours is open until 7 pm so I figured by going close to closing the store would be pretty empty.. NOT!

So - I get in the never-ending line and there's this man in front of me - acting kind of strange - with a cart full of food that was overflowing.. When we get up close to the register, the cashier is ringing out the person in front of him - the conveyor belt is EMPTY - and he's standing there with his cart full of food making no moves whatsoever to put the stuff up on the belt.. So what does he do? He HANDS each item to the cashier and says, "How much is this?" "And this?" "How about this?" (Uh oh - I feel the "scream" gurgling up in my throat again.. Grrrrr...) It took FOREVER - and for the first time in my life I was sorely tempted to slam my cart right into him and give him a good slap up alongside his head..

Finally he gets done and out of my way and it's my turn.. Now mind you, I went in there with a LIST.. My list had 12 items on it.. So what did I end up spending? $69.75 !!!!! EeeeeeK! How did all that "stuff" get in my cart?? Well - I reluctantly pay and move on over to the area where you pack your groceries and of course I am two bags SHORT of what I need.. Grumble..Grumble.. Goes against my grain to "buy" bags (I have enough at home to supply the whole Northeast) so instead I decide to juggle the loose items in my arms..

Out to the van and GUESS who is parked right next to me munching down on stuff out of his bags?? You got it.. "Mr. How much is this?" I start to put my groceries in the back of my van and all of a sudden I hear, "Mame? Mame?" I politely turn and say, "Yes?" And he starts to go through ALL of his bags - pulling out EVERY single item - and explaining to me why I should purchase these items as well... (Hear comes the scream - gurgling up in my throat again..)

Now as a rule, I pride myself on not being a violent person.. But after today I think I have decided that violence does have it's place in life.. In the parking lot of the grocery store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow has to be better - right?

RIGHT ????????????????????????

Froggy, I think that you're right! :teeth:

C.ann, you really need to get out of the in-law thing. That would be the pits!

Only problem is I CAN'T get out of it.. You see, my DD & her DH have their travel trailer right next door to my place at the lake on my extra lot.. And if the MIL thinks I'm not "feeling well", she'll insist on coming up and playing "Nancy Nurse"..

I suppose I could drive over to town and claim I got lost.. But considering there's only the main drag that goes right down the center of this dinky town, I doubt they would believe me..:(

I guess it's just my "cross to bear".......... At least I got a really good son-in-law out of the deal - LOL!:teeth:
