I was at work today, trudging along listening to someone's story "blah blah blah blah blah..."

:o

when suddenly I thought about DVC and going home and I smiled inwardly.

:jumping1:

What a pickup!

I have these moments a lot. Does anyone else?

YES! Daily, maybe even hourly to be more truthful. It's like an addiction that I need a fix for . . . I'm so glad there are others out there and that we have this support group!!!!!

 Me too! It seems to make the days easier, thinking about my upcoming vacation, even though it's so far away.

I usually eat lunch at my desk. I close my office door and do DVC "stuff" while I eat. It gives me a nice afternoon pick up and takes care of my DVC fix for the day. I know what you mean about the "blah, blah, blah".

Reading trip reports on the DVC forum helps keep the memories fresh. I love reading them. We're staying at Boardwalk in May for the first time, and I already feel like I've been therethanks to the stories I've read here.

Lately, I have become obsessed with DVC. I am having a hysterectomy on 4/21, and as part of my celebration for getting over this, we have booked a blow out trip to WDW in October.

2 ights AK lodge concierge - I want to book sunrise safari. Eat at Joki. Then 5 nights at a 2 bedroom in SSR. When I get stressed or scared about the upcoming event , I take these thought out like little jewels and think about them.

I have never been to AKL & obviously not SSR. I have told DH to start saving, bcs I intend to go 1st class (well, we have little ones so maybe that means cut down on the food courts...)

I might splurge and get a welcome fruit or flower basket to the room (silly I know...) I know I will just start SOBBING when they say "welcome home" at SSR...

In fact, I think I might start a thread asking for some super special things to do...

The scary thing is that I have them almost as much as "sex moments". In other words, almost continuously.

When I think of the wonderful Disney experiences since we have been going, it always gives me a break in my day and brings a smile to my face.

Yes. When I'm at work I'm either counting the days until it's time to book my next vacation or counting the days until my next vacation

Yes, I think about WDW all the time! This year we didnt have a trip planned till Oct. and I found myself obsessing on how far away that was. It was TERRIBLE!!! Then last week Southwest had some airfares that were just unresistable. :D So I booked the flights, then called member services just praying something would be available the first of June. Sure enough, we're staying for 4 nites at OKW. Yay!!!! Our home is BCV (which we love), but after reading so much about OKW on these boards, we're looking forward to trying out OKW. I'm soooo happy to be able to get away a little sooner than Oct. :D

That's great.

Those last minute, lesser planned trips seem to be the sweetest.

It is nice to know I am not alone! I have a countdown on every computer. I'm always telling my DH, XXX days and we'll be in DISNEY!! He's a closet fanatic - I wear my emotions on my sleeve. :Pinkbounc

We did not have a trip last year. We went in Dec. 02 and I had lost my job a few days before we left. I put together this trip shortly after I started my job. We have been scrimping and saving to make it happen. My only problem - after we spend 14 days in WDW, will we ever be able to visit for less????:teeth:

I try to set up a trip about every 4 to 6 months so I am always either thinking about the next trip or even the one after that. Also it's good to find others who are as nuts as you are. If you can get a friend or family member to actually live in Orlando and call you from their cell phone to listen to Wishes or Spectro or Illuminations on a monthly basis, it makes the time betwwen trips go much nicer. There's only so many times you can go to the local DS and get your fill.

If I had a dime for every DVC moment since we first joined.....I'd be able to add on another 250 points and never have to worry about when we go or where we stay!

I saw this thread and replied earlier but I guess it never showed up :(

Not really a DVC moment, but a Boardwalk moment.

And then I'm forced to come back to reality.

I read these boards and send DH emails with little tidbits like the boat renting programs, and even "dumpster view" then we talk about Disney at dinner!:D

Oh I do love reading your posts. How I would love to have someone to share my Disney Moments with. My husband passed away 4 years ago and even though the kids love to go to Disney always, they can barely tolerate my planning and gushing over how much fun it's going to be this time. I'm so grateful that you people are out there and I've found you.
