Ever had a whole ride/show/attraction to yourself?

Last December, DS and I had "One Man's Dream" all to ourselves, we felt kind of funny watching the movie without anyone else in there! :rolleyes1

On the last morning of every trip, we quickly make our way to BTMRR to see how many times we can ride without getting off. This trip, we made it 6 times around! 6 is apparently my limit though, because I was going to get off even if there wasn't anyone in line for our seats! The CM told us that we could hop into another car, but I told her I was done for the day! :rotfl:

We had SM to ourselves one evening during E-Ride night. It was nice because we were able to purchase the picture taken during the ride and we had the log to ourselves in the picture. We also had Small World to ourselves during a trip in 11/01. I mean, not only was our boat empty, but there was no one else in sight during the entire ride through. :flower:

In Sept 03 we had Kilimanjaro Safaris to ourselves one afternoon during a rain shower. Just my nephew , my sister, our mother and myself. It was great our driver joked around with us and answered any questions we had. It was like having our own private safari I love to watch the video of it when I am missing WDW.

We had a whole Jungle Crusie boat to ourselves in October during a parade. At first it felt a bit awkard with the CM making those Jungle Cruise jokes, but our family of four got into it and really had a great time.

We were there last year for hurricane Jeanne and went on Splash Mountain with just four of us. When the ride was done no one else was in line so they asked to ride again. Two times in a row by themselves is something they still talk about.....

Yes...every now and then I'll drive an empty truck around Kilimanjaro Safari!! :earboy2:
I've also driven for single families or for just a couple many times.

I've ridden as part of the only party on Splash, BTMR, TTA, Dumbo, Snow White, Pirates, Small World, Jungle Cruise....lots of others. It was usually late at night.

Once we were at the Haunted Mansion as the park opened. we rode the elevator down to th queue area and we got right in our doom buggies first riders of the day. No one else in sight it was really cool as that is our favorite ride. :cool1:

Splash Mountain, just me, my husband, and my brother, literally.
It ofcourse was in January, during Spectro. But the Cm's weren't so nice, we had to get off, run around, run through the line, and get on a log every time. I wish they would have just let us stay, but the extra exercise was SO worth it. NO ONE was there the 9 times we did this and it is the first time I have gotten WET from SM! I mean SOAKED. We played with different positions on the log to see which would get us wettest and we had the best luck with front row, although I am positive we got so wet because the logs were so empty. I have ridden SM at DL and SM at WDW before and never gotten much more than a mist until that night.

Also, Dumbo, and Buzz during parades.

Last March DS, DH and I were at the gate before opening of AK and were chosen to go in early for a private viewing of TTBAB. We were the only ones in the theater. When it was over we were taken a "back" way to the Safari and were the first in line for the first safari ride of the day.

Yes - at AK we were picked to be the first family to ride Dinosaur before they opened it to the rest of the park - It was pretty cool to get a picture of us being the only ones in the car for Dinosaur :flower:

The first week in Sept. last year before the hurricane hit, dd and myself skipped the parade and went to fantasyland to find it deserted! It was kinda spooky. We asked a CM outside of Peter Pan if this area was open (between Dumbo and HM) She said "yes, the park's all yours!" :Pinkbounc Very cool.
We've also ridden Splash Mountain with nobody else on the log :goodvibes
At Epcot - Figment and Spaceship Earth (great place to take a cool nap on a hot day)

In 1999 we had Goofys Barnstormer all to ourselves right at opening. DH and I rode a few times and then let the 3 kids ride by themselves...(over and over and over) they never wanted to leave.
Then on E-ride night, DH took kids on Buzz Lightyear, the CM let them just stay on since nobody else was in line. I finished Alien Encounter and joined them...We had a blast, but my son liked making the car spin and after 20 or so rides I almost lost it.. :rotfl:

I am another one that rode Rock and Roller Coaster (in the front!) with my friend and were the only ones on that section.. that was fun! I have also been on Splash Mountain on an enight and just our party was in the log. My two friends and I had the STRETCH Limo ride on a bus from OKW to MGM... also a fun experience!

We were at WDW a few days after September 11th and the place was a ghost town - it was kinda sad! Our vacation was scheduled for Sept 15 until Sept 22nd and on the 15th (a Sat) it was the first day the airports were open again and our flight (Providence to Orlando) was the only flight on Contiental that left the airport that day.

Anyway - we had Dinosaur, Pirates and the living seas doon buggy thing all to ourselves--- in reality - we felt like we had the entire park (every park) to our selves -- all of the wait times were 0-5 minutes -- I have multiple pictures of the wait time boards in all of the parks and they all say "no wait" or "zero minutes".

It was a weird feeling to be a Disney and have the place empty ---- some of our pictures show no one at all in the background - I remember showing our pictures to someone and they thought we were there after closing because there were no background people in any of our pictures.

We ate at Jiko one night and had the restaurant to ourselves - there was us and like one other table - our waiter (Anthony) even came and sat down with us and we talked since there was no one in the restaurant.

In some ways - it was our best Disney vacation ever because we had the parks to oursevles, there were absolutely no lines, we could eat at any restaurant we wanted and it kept us from watching the tv 24/7 and it was nice to be in a fantasy land after the reality of what had happened....however, in other ways it was our worst vacation simply because we felt guilty enjoying ourselves among so much tragedy and it was weird to have the parks so empty and we felt disconnected from the "real" world.

We always go to WDW for our anniversary and this year (our 5th) will be the week of September 10th -- we will be at Epcot on September 11th. Last year we flew to WDL in California and we flew out of Logan in Boston, MA on September 11th and flew to LA - that was kind of creeppy.

Anyway -- sorry for all the reminicising...I forget sometimes how magical and weird that vacation was....and thinking about having rides all to ourselves reminded me of that trip....

Not a ride but 4-5 yrs ago we went to MVMCP and at the end of night my husband and I were the only ones on Main Street. It was freezing that year (literally), and we were sitting on the curb eating ice cream - no one in sight. Probably because it was sooo cold and there we were eating ice cream. I'll never forget it though!

My wife suckered me, our daughter (5) and my brother into Country Bear Jamboree during extra magic hours. We were the only ones there. The show is pretty lousy to begin with and with us being the only ones there it was even worse. Daughter liked it though and that is most important.

Oh, the sacrifices we parents make for our children! :rotfl:

On June 11, 2005 I took my ds(1) to MK while Dh and Ds(11) went to MGM. While MGM was packed, we had the MK all to ourselves. Between 9am and 1 in the afternoon, we rode Dumbo, Peter Pan, It's a small world, Philharmagic, HM, POTC, Jungle cruise, Tiki room, the Tomorrowland transit authority and took an hour out for lunch!

There were a few times on our trip that we had the bus to ourselves because of how we scheduled our park days.

I rode M:S one evening and it was just me and two teenage girls that I didn't know -- it turned out to be a lot of fun.

We rode Figment by ourselves and then when we came out into the Kodak lab, my DD was called over by Dr. Allbright, so she got to do that show with just DH and I watching. It was so much fun!

What was so great about these incidents was that we went at such a crowded time, that those little windows of alone time were extra special.

Only Disney fans would consider listing the bus as a "ride"... but you know, that can be magical too!
