We are staying at WDW, but Dh suggested getting a room at RPR for one night for FOTL for two days. We have always stayed at Loew's (I am Gold), but can't really afford it this time (would need two rooms). However, it would be great to have a room to use for the FOTL, use the pool, and then go to back to WDW to our 2 bdrm at OKW. I have been worrying about our ticket options, but a couple of days at IOA and the Studios would be a nice extra. Any advice? All suggestions, good or bad are appreciated.:confused3

:wave2: Haven't I seen you somewhere recently? :teeth: Your DH is a wise man. Some of you may want to stay in that room though. FOTL isn't the only perk for staying onsite. It would be nice to be able to walk to the parks the 2nd day instead of having to drive over from FW. If you want the royal treatment, book the room. princess: ;) Don't forget to get your free upgrade.

So funny, tarheelmjfan! DH was asking what I was typing about, told him of your suggestion for Universal and he came up with this idea. I told him if he was paying, it sounded good to me. I hate paying for 5 adults, but it would still be doable if I could get a AAA rate. Also, DH and I are coming back in Oct for F&W and wanted to stay a couple of days there, so an AP might be a wise investment.

It's been done before. A person came in here, asked questions, booked a room at the RPR, drove over from Disney, and never even went up to their room. They got their magic keys, visited the park, then went back to Disney.

Guilty here! LOL
We've booked RPR for only 1 night - took advantage of the 2 days of FOTL - and had the very best time ever! Didn't even stay in the room. It was only a standard and the 5 of us would have been on top of each other so at night we went back to our other hotel.

FOTL is a great perk and well worth the extra $$~! :woohoo:

We thought about doing the same thing on our last visit but decided to see how busy the parks where first. We ended up not needing FOTL on this trip.

Purchasing a room is a better option than buying express passes for 4 or more people. You get unlimited FOTL for two days this way. You could use the room to swim and rest if needed. This sounds like a good option if you are going at a busy time.
