Yes. Hot springs, pools and hot tubs. All between the ages of 19-23. I haven't done it since then because all of us in my group of friends have had kids. Little harder to plan those types of trips/parties with all the little ones around. Now that the kids are older I have been thinking about planning an adult only trip with everyone again.
Yes, two weeks ago in my pool, it was so freaking hot that day that I just didn't want to go upstairs to get my bikini.
It was noon and all the neighbors were at work, or so I thought until my next door neighbor came to the fence and told me a long winded story about her sick kid, while I was getting really cold.
Not that she would have minded, one of the first things from when we moved into our house was my husband telling me that the neighbour was working naked in her backyard and if I thought it would be appropriate for him to continue working on the fence .
Agree! I still don't know what to make of it. This was the early 70s. I tell people about it and they look at me in disbelief, and I sorta understand why.
We did the same thing in junior high. Boys were given the choice of swimming in the buff, or wearing an athletic supporter. All swimming for boys ended when one of the boys asked the coaches why. Before he could answer, our class' very own "Dirty Little Johnny" piped up with, "Because the coaches like to look at our wet little butts!"
And no, I've never been skinny dipping. I wouldn't have dreamed of bringing it up, and the opportunity never turned up anyhow.
My HS didn't have a pool, so no naked gym class for me. During college some guys mentioned that they DID have nude swimming class. From NJ and I think Ohio. This would have been in the mid 1970s. I was kind of surprised by both theirs and your response, because I thought the practice died out by the 1960s at the latest.
OH wow--thanks for the laugh. That had me cracking up!!!
The closest I came was jumping of the pier into the lake by my university with just my underwear. Felt fun at the time, but that was a soggy walk home, that's for sure.
Was it the First Day of summer? I never knew this, but the day is celebrated on the Appalachian Trail with people that hike naked and skinny dip in rivers and lakes around the trail.
