Ever go to a movie by yourself?

I have never gone to a movie by myself. I always go with my sister or my husband. Also, I don't like to go shopping by myself. But, these are two things that my sister and I do to "bond", so it would be weird to me. Also, I like to talk about the movie when it is done, which I can't do if no one saw it with me.

Yep been to two movies in my life by myself.

One when I was a university student and wanted some time to myself away from classes and assignments. (had the whole movie theatre to myself).

Other one was when I wanted some more alone time by myself which was great.

Both movies were during the day. one after work at 3.30pm. Don't think i could go to a movie at night by myself.

I've gone by myself now and then, and it's nice. I don't understand why some people hate being along so much. It's really restful.

I went to a movie by myself once. Everyone else was going to see something I didn't want to see, so I went into a separate movie. I rather enjoyed it and would do it again in a heartbeat. :)

I love going to the movies by myself. How else would I see the latest chick flick?

For me it started in 1998. My ds was about 6 weeks old and Titanic was out. Our other baby was 22mos old. We didn't have any childcare lined up and I really wanted to see this movie. Dh suggested that I go by myself and he would keep the kids. :Pinkbounc Since then that has been my "tradition" to see the movie that has all of the Oscar buzz surrounding it either the day before or the day after the Oscars are scheduled to be shown, assuming dh and I didn't see it yet. I have seen Titanic, Chicago, In the Bedroom, My Big Fat Greek Wedding and American Beauty solo. Like someone mentioned earlier, you have to be able to enjoy your own company. Now it looks like I will be seeing Brokeback Mountain solo as well. ;)

I do but not very often. My husband has a monthly meeting (it's a geek thing) that gets him home about 8:30-9 p.m. I usually go to a movie then. It's usually a movie I know he would have no interest in seeing.

I have gone alone quite a few times. If it is something I really want to see, and I know my DH has no interest in it, I don't think twice. I just go. :moped:

Never have, but I think I am going to this week.

"Underworld Evolution" is out and I can't seem to find anyone that likes Vampires and Werewolves as much as I...I usually wait til DVD, but I was like heck, I want to see this on the big screen.

go to a theater on a friday afternoon and you will see a theater full of people seeing movies solo! I love to sneak away from work early on a friday afternoon and see a movie alone, and depending on what theater I am near, there seem to be a lot of other people who like to do the same thing!

when our two kids were little tykes, DH and I would take turns going out to movies alone. Great opportunity or peace and quiet.............
