How was it , what was the good and if any bad I'd like to hear it too. How was the wifi if you yourself personally used it. I can't remember if they have tvs on board? If so does each seat or only the middle one? Are there outlets or a USB port in the seats?

How are the pilots and crew? Food choices are they pricey and worth it or no?

I don't want to sound negative but f you personally have not flw with virgin America then I'm not sure it would be much help lol.

Thanks in advance.

The interior of the planes is *beautiful*. I don't *like* using leather, but their seats are gorgeous so I deal. The lighting on the planes is soothing; they call it mood lighting. I've been boarded when the whole airport shut down, then they let more people board and shut it down again, and no one got antsy or mouthy or anything like I would have expected, and I can't help but wonder if the cycling of soothing blue, pink, and purple lights was the reason.

Airplane food is expensive, no getting around that. And it's worth it if you like the food. I don't remember what I've gotten, but whatever it has been it was vegetarian, and I don't remember disliking anything.

I LOVE being able to order it through my screen (which are on ALL seats), I LOVE being able to set up a play list of songs while waiting for everyone to board and then to listen to it through the flight. DH likes the movies. I also love the "Google Terrain View" view of where the plane is in relation to your destination; that's on the screen as well.

I've encountered one flight attendant that perhaps needed a nap. That's a better track record than most other airlines I've flown! Jet Blue, it felt like ALL their FAs needed a nap, LOL. (but I've only flown JB for one round trip and that was enough!)

The only way I know to evaluate pilots is "did we land successfully?" and thankfully ALL the pilots that have ever flown me have been Grade A for that. Whew.

FYI they have a nice section on their website that seems to answer most of your questions (not the answer to the price of food though), if you go to the site and hover over Flying With Us, you can then click on What's On Board and it might be a nice read for you.

Your other post had a reply about their business's health...I really don't know if that's accurate or not or something to worry about... That's why I've ignored that part of the issue as brought up over there, but I know that for me, if I had a flight where they had a good flight and a good price, I'd book it.

The only issue that comes up *for me* (aside not being able to properly book to or from Orlando from Seattle) is that they do not give a credit if the cost of the flight drops after booking, and Alaska does, and Alaska so often (for me) has really good prices. That's why I don't fly them all the time, though I wish I could! And also DH has status with Alaska and United, so our bags are free, and that is HARD to give up. (and hard to convince his bosses to let him fly VA, LOL) If it weren't for those things, I would fly them all the time assuming the fare was right.

We (6 of us) flew on V.A. 2 years ago from Orlando to LA for our DL trip. Very impressed....great crew, clean planes, and beautiful yet comfortable interiors. The planes did have very nice TV/entertainment systems. You also ordered your drinks/food from here which my DS8 thought was cool. We did not order any real meals....just snack & drink type items. We would fly them again for certain.

Flew them in Feb. from JFK to LAX. (Disneyland trip:) )

When you check in you are assigned to a boarding group.
The groups are not grouped by row. When we got on the plane people were seated all over.
The planes are nice. Each seat has its own screen. There is a remote in the arm rest and a 110v outlet just below the armrest. Be careful if you bring your own headset. The jack for the headset is on the side of the armrest. DW broke the earphone plug when she accidentally bumped it.
Food is a touch on the expensive side but for the flight out we just packed some sandwiches for lunch. Soda/juice is free.
Both flights were on time. We actually arrived home 30 minutes early and had to wait for a gate as the flight that arrived before us was still unloading.

Love flying Virgin!! If you can afford to upgrade to First Class at the gate it's AMAZING!! Seats pretty much recline all the way back and a footrest came up so I was practically lying flat. Flight attendants were all super nice too.

Yeah that wont happen lol. Its only me but i cant see spending that amount for a one time thing.

The upgrade to first class cost less at the gate than it does if you buy it earlier, and it's not that much more and it's totally worth it.

for anyone interested on best way to upgrade here's a good link.

Well that is totally dependent on how booked First is, etc. I've had it offered for not that much (but not low enough to be worth it, like $90 for sfo to sea, too short to appreciate the difference and with no checked bag to make it feel more worth it) and I've also seen it at no discount. Can't be guaranteed.

We love Virgin and usually fly them to Las Vegas. The planes are really nice and relaxing.

No, it's not a guarantee, but in my opinion it's worth it to try.
