Ever, Ever After: The TR Formerly Known as Wishing You Were Here- May 2011

Wow, Kate! I admire you so much for tackling Safari with both boys by yourself. I remember holding on and trying not to get bounced too much, but to be holding two boys and unable to hold on, wow! Good job!

Yay! I'm so glad y'all got to go on the safari. I'm sure both the boys really enjoyed it.

I'm glad round 2 of the safari line went so much better and that you were able to go on the safari!

I think that my mom STILL thinks those eggs are real. :sad2:

So glad to hear that you guys were able to ride the Safari without any issues :thumbsup2 I hate that last part of the story line as well...mainly I hate being slammed around in the vehicle :rotfl:

Good option with the neutral answer to the Lion King show and good choice saving the magic with the eggs :goodvibes I am sure she is talking about those eggs at home right now :rotfl:

It's great that you got to do the Safari after all, and that the boys were so well behaved!

So like a Mom to want to multi-task, holding two boys and a camera too! It's good that you let it be, and could just take it all in, while holding tight to that precious cargo!

I'm so glad you were able to ride the safari successfully. Sounds like you all had a good time! Well, aside from the mommy balancing act you had to do. ;)

Those eggs aren't real? Next you're going to tell me that the baby elephant in the wagon is a fake too. I'm always so relieved when they rescue it from the poachers and it's alive and breathing at the end! :rotfl: I'm so glad you were able to ride with the boys!!!

Glad you finally got to ride the safari. I have been on the safari a few times and never even noticed the eggs until this time.:confused3

The boys did such a good job waiting:goodvibes

I'm glad that Landon got the mischeif out of his system (even if only temporarily :lmao:) and allowed you to get your ride on the safari. I'm sure that Landon expects a reward of epic proportions for going out of his way to cooperate with your desires.:rotfl2:

Glad to see that you were able to go on KS! And I applaud you for your excellent ability to hold onto two boys, keep up a conversation with a stranger, and enjoy the ride yourself. :thumbsup2

Joining in! I'm really enjoying your TR. DS will be 15 months on our trip, so I appreciate getting a glimpse of what it will be like. I'm glad to have been reminded to be flexible with toddlers!

Love your trip report. I took my DS by myself last Christmas when he had jsut turned 4. Kudos for taking on 2 toddlers by yourself. :thumbsup2

Kate, so glad you got to do the Safari after all and that the boys were model citizens. I expected no less from those cuties! :thumbsup2

We had a lot of fun on that Safari. It's amazing how much difference riding with two model citizens makes. :rotfl:

So glad that the safari was a success and that Landon behaved like a model citizen while in line.

I'm glad the Safari was a success, too. I had my doubts about Landon's ability to wait in line, but he behaved perfectly. :confused3

Thanks! I think the boys actually thought the bouncing was a lot of fun. They must have felt very confident in my abilities. :rotfl:

Yay! I'm so glad y'all got to go on the safari. I'm sure both the boys really enjoyed it.

They did enjoy it, especially once Carter could see all the animals. They looked at every animal and Landon even pointed to a few.

Yeah for a successful Safari ride!!! :thumbsup2

I was glad everyone had fun. It had been a rough afternoon, so I was glad to get it back on track.

I'm glad round 2 of the safari line went so much better and that you were able to go on the safari!

I think that my mom STILL thinks those eggs are real. :sad2:

I'm not sure why Landon couldn't have been a model citizen the first time around, but I'm glad he improved on the second try. The Safari ended up being on of the highlights of our day.

Isn't it hard to decide whether or not to tell people the eggs aren't exactly real? :rotfl:

The last part of the Safari is so unnecessary. I had just seen a hippo out of water, stopping poachers was very anti-climatic.

For some reason, I was having a hard time deciding how to answer both those questions. Maybe being on my own with the boys had left me out of practice with conversing with grown ups.:rotfl:

Yay for getting to ride the Safari! I'm so glad that Landon didn't give you any trouble and waiting in line patiently.

You had me laughing about the lady who didn't understand what show she actually saw. I'm glad you got it all sorted out in the end! :rotfl2:

I'm glad you didn't spoil the magic for your Safari mate!
I thought of you this weekend. I went in Disney store this weekend and they had buy one Vinylmation get one have a laugh or urban free.

Maybe being on my own with the boys had left me out of practice with conversing with grown ups.:rotfl:

Oh my goodness! I am going through this right now, big time! I had a very hard time yesterday thinking of things to talk to my French teacher about. Everything I could think of involved Claire. I feel like part of my brain is wasting away!

If it wasn't for the fact that I know my grandmother wasn't in Disney, I would say that the woman sounds an awful lot like her! She will start a conversation with anybody and of course (bc she did this on our last trip) ask questions about things to strangers rather than her group! (Side note: she was also impressed with the eggs and we chose to keep it a secret from her as well!)
