Ever come back from a Disney vacation and feel disappointed?

I have never felt like that as our family are most likely to be found crying on the last day however i do get what you mean. Sometimes you can go to often in a small space of time and things get repeated and become boring. The closest two trips we've ever had was flying back in Jan 05 from our christmas holiday and going back out in August 05. This time we aren't going back out until August 07 but the wait just makes it better when you get there

My first trip to WDW was a complete disappointment. I absolutely LOOVED my trip to DL so I thought I would love WDW just as much. NO WAY!!! No one can prepare you for the awful August heat. And to top it off, this was before FastPass was around, so you had no choice but to stand in a line for an hour for a ride. I said never again. But years later, we tried it again, and I went in December, and we planned everything better, and FastPass was around. If FP weren't available, I don't think I'd ever go back again.

This next trip will be in September, and I'm still not 100% sure I won't cancel it because of the hot weather. But I'm more prepared, and we're staying at CR, so it's only a quick trip back to the resort from MK.

I don't think your disappointment was with being at disney, I think that unfortunately you've ran into a bit of bad luck, which happens to all of us. Compound that with the fact that you were on vacation (an expensive one at that) just made it all the more disappointing.
Visit the disney site, pull out some really good pictures. The magic will come back

I was disappointed when I went to orlando not too long ago for a conference, and nobody was with me so I didn't go to wdw. Instead I stopped by DTD to pick up something for my wife. Seeing everyone else having a good time on vacation was depressing as hell.

I have a had a couple of trips where I thought I might be done for a while, if not for good. However, it always seems that after a short period of time passes, I am just so excited to go back again. I must say though that my trip this year was the best trip to Disney yet, and that I could happily go back right now.

I was so looking forward to it cause I was going with my brother and his family but due to the extreme heat and sun, the huge crowds, and their style of touring a park being commando raids --- I have to say I, too, just wanted to be home.

I usually go in January or February so tons of people and 95 degrees just makes me terribly cranky. It was hard to have alot of joy with so many people in the park.

I may wait a couple years before going back and definitely do it early February cause in the past I've never felt that way.

Yes I have been disappointed at times in the past. A few years ago was my kids' first trip. My DD had a great time, but my DS at age 6 was just too young. I realize a lot of people have young kids who enjoy it, but he was afraid of pretty much all the rides (took him on Big Thunder Mountain first, that was probably a mistake) and just wanted to climb the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse and swim in the pool. I had a sinking feeling of disappointment at the end of the first day.
