I normally wouldn't chime in on such a thing, but considering I have read a rather long article on this recently, I feel moved to comment. Yes, there IS a lot of counterfeit meds in mexico. As someone else said above, be very sure of what you buy. All this is mostly about is the price tag. The meds industry prices their drugs based on the market. Here in the US, they know they can go higher because the insurance companies will pay such a high $ value. In Canada, the prices are locked down upon by the Canadian governement, and you can buy meds there too, but a real verifiyable prescription is required, and there are a great number of pharmacies just across the border who fill US prescritions regularly, just for the reason of heavily lowered costs. In Mexico, the prices there are so much lower simply due to the fact that insurance down there is scarce, to say the least, and the median income is so much lower that if they priced them anything close to what they are here, noone would be able to afford them. The difference there is that a lot of places don't require any prescription for items that would normally would. Again that falls back to be VERY sure you're getting what you're paying for if you decide to go this route.
