Ever book multiple rooms from Hotwire?

There are a group of us, 16, cruising on the Magic this fall. I know what to look for to get the Hyatt MCO and have gotten it many times in the past but that was only 1 room for us.

This time, we'll be booking 5 rooms. If I make the ressies, am I the only one who can check us all in? It's possible part of the group will be on a different flight. When booking 1 room, you must list the name of who will check in and ressie states this is the only person who can check in. Is it the same if you book 5 rooms, or can I list the main person for each room and they can check themselves in?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have done it with two rooms, and it stated that me (the one who made the reservation) had to be present for both rooms. There is the risk if you end up not going. I don't think Hotwire will let you register more than one name. There's also the issue of you having to collect from the others. However, if you do it separately, theres a chance you will get different hotels or book only part of the rooms.

If you go ahead with the reservations, you might want to call the hotel and make the name change and ask them if it can be done. You would probably have more opportunity through them.

If you are looking to have five rooms with two double beds, I would end up putting 20 guests instead of 16 (four per room instead of 3.2 per room). It might be easier to go from two doubles to one king, that the other way around.

This is what worries me most. It's a reliable group to collect from; basically 4 families, not 16 individuals or that would be a PITA.
They don't all have to be '2 doubles' rooms; 2 can be kings but it's better to have the extra beds just to simplify things. Not sure how the Hyatt would handle the whole thing.
