Awful Waffle is right. Dirty, scary, nasty-drunk hangout after midnight.

Much, much, much prefer IHOP, but we don't have IHOP in Kentucky.

And don't try to pay by credit card-at least they have an ATM on site-if it's working.

My parents actually stand in line to wait for tables to open at Waffle Houses in Ohio. Those genes did not carry on to me though.

I think I Over dosed on waffle house in 1999-2000 when I was on tour with my dd. Our bus driver actually got married there to a waitress he met! There were some days I think it was Lima Ohio where thats all we had to eat, sometimes Waffle house 2 times in one day!

We don't have any Waffle Houses around, but we do have a Waddle House and a Huddle House in town. Are these similar?

I swear it is exactly the same as Huddle House except for the colors! Waffle House is yellow and brown.

The old, really small WH's are kinda gross. The newer, bigger ones aren't so bad. At least everything is cooked right there so you know what's going on with your food!

Ours takes cash only. I don't know how many times I've forgotten and had to leave my teens there for collateral until I went to the ATM.

Not eating there...no way...no how...and they are an institution here in the Atlanta area...

MY DH and his best buddy use that joke all the time and I think its hilarious. They also say "summer his" and "summer hers" & "honey whos wearing the teeth tonight"

I love Waffle House! We don't have them where I live. I just don't like inhaling smoke with my breakfast. When we eat at one, we get everything to go!

The thing I love about a Waffle House is you always feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere. You can be 2 miles away from your house and there is no way you will see someone you know. The staff there always is really interesting. I have to say I am a bit disapointed with the waffles. you would think they would have many choices of waffles there. (like the Pannenkoken house) but there are not too many choices.

My DH was working in Gulfport, MS for two months over the summer. I went down a couple times to visit. I think there was a Waffle House every mile! We didn't eat in any, though. None of them looked very appealing, heck, come to think of it, they all looked the same! Boring brown and yellow square buildings.

I've never been to the Waffle House, but my mom and stepdad took my son there one time and they said it was horrible. It was really dirty and they saw nasty cockroaches (dead and alive).

Looks like I am in the minority but I think Waffle House is downright disgusting. I will NEVER eat there again, yuck! I am so shocked to see how many people actually eat there.

Ihave to admit the apperance of waffle house is not that great. but you have to realize it is not a 5 star resturaunt(much less a 3 star... LOL). I use to hang out there as a young adult when i would go out dancing with friends. i have not been to one in a while but i would go again. I love there hashbrown scattered and chunk ....
