Sevilla is probably my favorite city in the world. Semana Santa, the Holy Week is such an amazing time to visit and I´m so glad I got to experience it first hand a few years ago.
Have you ever been there? To see a glimpse of what I´m talking about you can check out this site:

I have been there twice on school Spanish exchange trips, I spent a month in a school there. The Plaza De Espana and the cathedral are so beautiful. I also went to a few other cities near by, Cordoba (the mosque there is stunning) and Granada (the palace there is so beautiful.)

I agree. The Cathedral is the most beautiful Cathedral I´ve ever visited, and I´ve seen a few ;) And the Plaza de Espana and Parque de Maria Louisa are gorgeous too.

We were in Spain for Holy week in 2007 but we missed Sevilla! We couldn't get train tickets. We did hit Madrid, Barcelona :lovestruc Valencia & a couple other small towns.

Yes, it's beautiful. I took a bike tour vacation through Spain (Andalusia) and one of the cities we biked through and stopped in was Seville. In fact I got myself lost one afternoon wandering the narrow and winding streets of Seville....!!

I lived in Madrid for a year, and while there took a trip to the south. I've been to Sevilla a couple of times, not during Semana Santa, though. It IS beautiful (almost as beautiful as Asturias in the north. :) ).

I got lost one afternoon in Sevilla too. And I swear I´ve never felt as free in my entire lifetime, lol. I was in Sevilla without my husband and kids, doing an intensive language course and my first afternoon there I wondered off without a map. I just kept walking and checking out every tiny little street I could find until I noticed I had no idea where in the city I was. Took me a few hours to find my way back but that day is honestly one of my best memories from Sevilla.

I have not but I would love to go. I love Europe in general but my only trip so far was to Italy for a biking trip. I am planning a trip next summer but it will be Germany, France, and Austria.

With the exceptions of parts of Moldova and Georgia there isn't a place on the continent (including Scandinavia) I wouldn't love to visit. I'm kind of jealous of you guys in Europe that get to make little jaunts all over.

I love Germany especially Munich. We went all over Germany, Czech Republic & Belgium a few years ago. It was amazing. There is breathtaking scenery, amazing architecture and such and interesting history. We've been to several European countries but Germany is probably my favorite. Be sure to visit Neuschwanstein castle. You probably know this but it inspired Walt's vision of Cinderella's castle. Oh and Berlin is totally under-rated. We had an amazing stay there. Happy planning.

I´m really not a big fan of Germany, in general (lived there for 5 years and have travelled all over the country on numerous occasions). However, I LOVE Berlin. I totally agree with you that it is under-rated. The city just oozes history and culture and the atmosphere is very cool.
