Yes, and to this day I don't know who it was.

I had just moved into an apartment with my best friend. (Her roommate moved out and I was going to stay there until the lease ended.) I wrote down the apartment phone number and left it on my desk. Unfortunately, I worked for a major corporation so I have no clue who got a hold of it. This was almost 30 years ago, when the dinosaurs roamed the planet and there was no caller ID.

I started getting bizarre phone calls at the apartment. The guy would describe what I wore that day and knew my car. I called the cops and they arranged for me to get escorted to and from work for awhile.

It finally stopped, but it was very scary.

Not me but dd had a kid she went out with a few times follow her around after she gave him the heeve ho....He would put flowers on her car, on the door step with these "love notes"....then he started showing up at her part time job and was caught looking in the windows at her..his next step was to call her and said he was going to commit suicide...she told him she was immediately calling an ambulance to go to his house....that put a stop to that threat...but the flowers and the showing up whereever she was continued.....She finally told us what was happening and Dh explained in no uncertain terms to him that his attention was not wanted and if it continued we would get the law involved.... It stopped and he went into the military. We got 'breether" calls from un-identified numbers for a few years on holidays and her birthday....and assummed it was him.
We later found out that he stalked a girl in college, leaving flowers and notes on her car. She had no idea who he was...Her football player bf staked out her car and caught him putting more flowers on her car and threatened him to dare do this again....So it was definetly a pattern with this guy...

omg!!!!! Yes...there was this kid who had this HUGE crush on me and my friend...so he would follow us every where! I had gym with him...omg....he used to try and show off...and then he asked me out and i said no...so he kept it up for like 4 months just asking me for a date everyday...then for the remaining days of the school year he asked my friend out...everyday...and called us constantly over the summer...until we told him to get lost...now he got a girlfriend...so hes done stalking us....

Yes - by a student of mine. It started the summer before her 8th grade year. She would follow me around at my summer job (hey, I was making more money supervising lifeguards than I was teaching). It didn't matter what pool I was at or if I was at the waterpark for the day. She got my schedule from friends at the waterpark and would show up at that location. During the school year she would call me at all hours of the night and all weekend. i changed my phone number 5 times and it was unlisted but she would still get my number from the daughter of one of the cooks (without the mother's knowledge). She began acting beyond terrible in class when my now husband and I got engaged. She would leave me notes on my car, send me flowers, leave stuffed animals on my desk, etc. After about the tenth conference with her parents, who didn't see a problem with her behavior, BTW, I asked that she be removed from my classroom. She said that if they took her out of my class she would kill herself. I refused to teach the class with her in it so they removed her from the class.

The school finally let me get a restraining order against her that prevented her from coming on school grounds. She was placed on a mental health hold after she was arrested for bullying other students into leaving items for me and for also sending me threatening letters.

That was 10 years ago. 2 years ago the letters started at school again so I once again had to get a restraining order. Now that she is an adult the penalties are much worse.

I have been "stalked." There was this guy who wanted me to pose for him (wearing formal style clothing). He said he was a photographer from a town a few hours away. I said no, but he kept trying to talk me into it. He said we'd be in the woods in a deserted area and if anyone came around, we'd have to leave. Like that would entice me to do it-be alone in a wooded area with a stranger. And why formal clothing in the woods?

He originally met me at this hotel I used to work at. He got my phone number from another employee. He found out what car I drove and my address (I was living with my parents then). He'd call me all the time and want to meet with me. I never would go. But he would call every week.

When I switched jobs a few years later, he came in to see me. I didn't know who he was b/c we'd never met face to face, but he knew me and how he knew I worked there I'll never know. I was in college and working at this video store. I also worked part time at this school and some little boys from the school were visiting me while I worked when he came in. He was visibly upset that I was talking to these boys and said very snippily, "I can see you're busy." and stormed out of the store. I never saw him again. Thank goodness. I think he had a screw loose.

The little boys were upset and they kept telling me that if he tried to hurt me they'd beat him up! Kind of intuitive on their part-I never told them anything about him-I think they just got a bad vibe from him. Awhile later, I was talking to a guy who was from this weirdo's town (very small town where everyone knows everyone) and I asked him if he knew this guy and he said he'd never heard of him so I wonder if he was even from there at all.

Just in case, when I moved out, I had my phone number unlisted and in fact, DH and I had it put in the phone book now-first time ever in 15 years.

I've got a harmless story to tell.
This happened my freshman year in highschool. My mom and a neighbor were friends. The neighbor had a foreign exchange student come for the school year. Since she and mom were friends, guess who got stuck with showing him around.
Anyway, after a few weeks this kid got a crush on me. He would follow me, and he and I walked home from the same bus. He would sing at the top of his lungs how much he loved me. Over and over and over again, the 4 blocks until I could get into my house. That happened until he left. That's all that happened, but it sure was embarrassing.

Oh my goodness!! Horrible!! What did this kid want from you??? What on Earth did she think she could accomplish?? And it started all over again?? That must have been the creepiest, bizarre thing to go through!!

I had a kid in one of my college classes that was quiet but seemed nice. A friend and I started talking to him about how come guys couldnt be like himand about horrible ex's. On valentines days, he came to class with a single rose and a card for the both of us. He told us not to open the card until after class cause he was embarassed. Well the cards where freaky! they were identical and had a poem. I remember the sick poem cuz it freaked me out., "Roses are red, Charcoal is black, I will find your ex boyfriends and then Ill attack. I will make them regret ever hurting you and then I can really show you what I think of you" There were a bunch of I love yous and hearts all over the card. We were creeped out and my friend threw away the flowers in the trash. We went to our next class and on our way to her car, we thought saw him following us but couldnt be sure. when we got her car the roses that we had thrown out where in the front seat and her car was trashed, her books were ripped and her clothes where distroyed. We went to campus police to report him but they couldnt even find out who he was. there was no one registered by his name and he wasnt even supposed to be in our class. He never came to that class again, but I did see him a few weeks later outside on of our classes. I freaked out in the middle of class and started having a panic attack. a guy who knew what was going on chased him to the parking lot and my teacher called security. The caught him and it turned out he wasnt even a student and lived 2 hours away but was banned from all of his local colleges for stalking. Supposedly he was a little messed up We didnt press charges because we couldnt prove he did anything ( who else would have broken into her car and put the roses there)but he was banned from the school and if he ever came near me or my friend agian we can have him arrested.

I was stalked online by a nutcase for a while. I've never been stalked in person, but about 10% of the orders of protection that I do are against stalkers.
