Ever been in the right place (you thought) at the wrong time?

DD, her friend, DH and I went to the movies one night. The two girls went to see one movie, DH and I went to another in the next theater over. As their feature was over first DH went out into the hallway to be sure they changed over to our movie safely. The two girls came in but DH didn't. Around 30 minutes later my cell phone (set on vibrate) rang. It was DH. He wanted to know where we were?. Turned out he had went to the lobby, came back and went into another showing of the same movie we were watching? I asked him if the fact that it was 20 minutes behind ours didn't tip him off? Ever done anything like this?

yeah..i went to see one movie but couldnt find it...so i saw another at the same time..my friend were looking for me..there was one of them with me....my friends and i do silly things like that

I almost had something similar happen today.

On Jan. 12th I made an online reservation for tonight for a hotel that I stay in fairly often. As is my custom, I pulled up my reservation this morning (before I left home) to call the hotel to request a ground floor room. At that point, I discovered that I had made the reservation at the wrong hotel...in the wrong city...

My sentiments exactly! Fortunately, the correct hotel had a vacancy (which they often don't if you don't make a reservation in advance). Both hotels are in college towns. The one I'm actually staying in is in DD's university town. The one I originally made was in the town of the university where I got my Master's. Maybe I'm trying to go back in time???

It happens. Took my mother to the movies one time and it happened to her. She had to use the restroom, I was getting snacks and we were going to meet in the theater. We generally always sit in the same area of any theater so picking a seat and looking for one another wasn't really necessary. I finished up and went in the show and so did she. Except I went into the movie that we paid to see, she got turned around and went into another one. Neither had started so we both just kept sitting there wondering what was keeping the other. Eventually she realized she was in the wrong when all these families with kids showed up and not the more mature movie we intended to see. She went out to look for me then saw she was in the wrong theater. So yeah, it happens.

I was supposed to meet two friends at Chili's. There are two Chili's along the same loooooong street, but in two different cities. One friend called to check which one we were to meet at, and I told her the one I thought.

Of course our other firend was waiting for us at the other Chili's. It was pretty funny, I felt like an idiot though, because I had an email with the right one, and I had just read it wrong

hahaha..this happened to me 2. I always get hair cuttery and super cuts mixed up. So i called Super cuts to get my hair appointment set up. Well the time came and i headed over there, walked in and told them i had called earlier. I told them my name and the lady denied that i had ever called, and i was like no, i called. She was like are you sure you called this location? I said, yes i asked for super cuts at this intersection, then she started laughing and said, sweetheart, this is hair cuttery.... I almost died right there when everyone started giggling...at least i got my hair cut!!!! haha

lol -- I did something kind of similar ... I went to the movies, and left to go to the girls room, then returned. I was watching a preview that took a looonggg time, and I realized that it wasn't a preview, but another movie I had walked into. I felt so disoriented

Well, I probably shouldn't admit to this after having already told about the hotel, but when I was a teenager, I do remember being in a
Burger King and ordering a Big Mac. The counter worker looked at me funny and politely told me, "We don't serve those here..."
